I was pricing a 2016 SHO and noticed in the PP description listed "New larger front and rear rotors."

Is this new only for 2016? Previous years only mention a different brake pad.

From Ford's site:

Upgraded performance brake pads

Sport-calibrated electric power-assisted steering (EPAS)

Higher-rated springs, tuned shocks, stiffer stabilizer bars and rear suspension to provide a more connected feel between the driver and the road

Standard AdvanceTrac® electronic stability control (ESC) features a "Track Mode/True Off" setting that delivers a more spirited driving experience

3.16 final drive ratio for off-the-line acceleration

20-inch machined aluminum wheels with black painted pockets with performance summer tires*

New larger front and rear brake rotors

Upgraded cooling pack

Tire mobility kit (in lieu of spare tire)

Alcantara® suede-wrapped steering wheel
13' SHO, Non-PP, Tuned by Torrie, Meth injection, 3 bar, 170* stat, custom axle back exhaust, Prosport Boost gauge.

I do actually, haha. I have shopped around for cars in the mid 40's price range and always come back to the SHO. I've test drove a few Audi S4's, BMW 335i xdrive's, even tried out an STI (not a highway car). I would like to try the new focus RS but it looks like dealers will be charging at or over MSRP for some time. After spending hours of thinking about what I would be happy with its hard for me to find a car that doesn't make a compromise. I even considered a charger SRT Scat Pack but decided they cost to much for what you get. Not to mention they are heavier than the SHO and wont make as much power when tuned.

So, if nothing new comes out or my interests dont change dramatically i might be looking for a 16'. Although my car is still under 30k miles and im about to put on new brakes and lowering springs. Its a pain swapping mods to new cars ever few years.

As hard as you beat on your car, I'd get the PP.

I have no regrets and am very happy I did.

Besides the extra options and HD parts, my 15 just fells much more solidly built.

My situation is different though and I understand starting over can be tough to swallow financially. But if you're thinking about trading anyway.....

Im ready to make a change but I do not "need" to. So for once Im going to try and be patient and wait for a new SHO gen to be released. Although I suspect it will be a year after the new Taurus is released before they add a SHO variant. But we are definitively going to get a 2017 Raptor! Cant wait to see how the new 10 speed does with an even more beastly 3.5.

Definitely like the Raptor just the ride may be somewhat bouncy.  Z   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=14V5T_88ppw

Call me silly, but while I definitely appreciate the visual, especially at the end who wants to bang a def mute? I mean grunt, scream talk or something lol
