new to the forum but i have some news i would like to share with all the 13-15 SHO owners that have been looking for coilovers. Its not 100 percent official but about 99 percent that there will be a company releasing coilovers for these models. I personally have the first set installed on my car and just received the progress photos of the car and man am i excited to pick it up.

Zach, can you give us some feedback on what it took to get the height and the ride dialed in, how it drives normally and when pushed hard, etc?

zach_435

well it considered a strut but esencially its the same thing it just isn't adjustable as far as dampening or ride height these are.

good point, i will give feedback on them once i get the car and drive it. I am flying down to their facility monday to pick it up and have about a 5 hour drive home so i think i can relay some pretty good feedback when i arrive home monday. as i will have plenty of time to find any flaws in the the way it rides with a solid 5 hours of drive time.

Do people tinker with their coil overs that frequently ?....dont you need an alignment everytime u change the height?

ZSHO

Welcome aboard Zach,so essentially your utilizing the stock springs with aftermarket struts and shocks on your 15 SHO correct? not sure who makes the struts but are they compatible with the Performance package? great pic's and hopefully the ride is the same.  Z

The benefit of these will be cornering speed on a track due to being able to play with dampening of the shocks. Also it can play a huge roll in 60 ft times/1/4 mile on the drag strip because you can adjust the front rear to two different ride heights and also the dampening make the rear drop slower and the front rise slower getting more traction to ground is setup correctly

This is correct.  Whats even more challenging is very few people actually correctly dial in their aftermarket coil overs by corner balancing. Its easy to see this when at open track events.  Usually the cars that can't get around for s*** just "bolted" them in.

Thank You ZSHO, and no the stock suspension, front strut assemblies and shock, rear spring and shock have all been removed and replaced with new front coilovers in place of the factory strut assembly and for the rear the springs are replaced with an adjustable spring along with an adjustable shock.

is correct in that to take full advantage of them you would need to have a corner balancing done
