P2110/P2135/P2111 in my SHO!

Hey all, just curious if anyone here has run into these with their SHO at all and what you might have done to fix it? I am out of warranty on my 10' so I am currently in work on this issue with the TB. I had changed the TPS last night and it made it worse, but pointed out the actuator was at fault finally, rather than it just being stuck open as the P2111 stated. I bought a new actuator (Doorman) and will put that on and see where it gets me on this TB. If this doesn't work, I will replace the entire TB, but if anyone has heard of this and can help me eliminate or add a troubleshooting step somewhere, any help is greatly appreciated.

***Edit- It started to have this happening after my battery had finally died, so I replaced it. Is there a relearn that I may have missed that would throw my throttle trims out? Thanks!

The car needs to re-learn its idle and fuel trims anytime the battery is removed.  Z    Battery relearn Because your vehicle's engine is electronically controlled by a computer, some control conditions are maintained by power from the battery. When the battery is disconnected or a new battery is installed, the engine must relearn its idle and fuel trim strategy for optimum driveability and performance. To begin this process: 1. With the vehicle at a complete stop, set the parking brake. 2. Put the gearshift lever in P (Park), turn off all accessories and start the engine. 3. Run the engine until it reaches normal operating temperature. 4. Allow the engine to idle for at least one minute. 5. Turn the A/C on and allow the engine to idle for at least one minute. 6. Drive the vehicle to complete the relearning process. • The vehicle may need to be driven to relearn the idle and fuel trim strategy. • Note: If you do not allow the engine to relearn its idle trim, the idle quality of your vehicle may be adversely affected until the idle trim is eventually relearned. When the battery is disconnected or a new battery installed, the transmission must relearn its adaptive strategy. As a result of this, the transmission may shift firmly. This operation is considered normal and will not affect function or durability of the transmission. Over time the adaptive learning process will fully update transmission operation to its optimum shift feel.

Thank you Z! I will try to do this tonight and update this thread with the conclusion.

Id say you have a problem though...i wouldnt have bought dorman stuff for the tps...nothing wrong with dorman but for fuel and air metering those non stock brands may send slightly different electrical signals to the ecu

Injectors, 02 , tps , maf map sensors, cam crank sensors i always go 100% oem not oem equivilent

Gotcha, ajpturbo. Yeah I ended up finishing the relearn and it actually has so far worked. Nothing more than a slight wiggle on the tach at idle. So far so good, and I will run it at idle today again for a bit to see if the codes go again or not. Thank you turbo and Z for the inputs and assistance on this, my SHO feels much better at this point, and I have my perm grin again!

Thats great to know, was there any visible signs of any oil around the TB-Plate?also for good measures add a bottle of Chevron fuel system cleaner, change the spark plugs especially if original, here's the link below and BTW the re-learn process does take some time to get adjusted.  Z      http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=3001419&cc=1445050&jnid=495&jpid=1

So Z for the relearn, at least at this point, my idle trims should be fine, its just the adaptive shift that is still going to be relearning? Or am I missing more on this as far as the total relearn process? Thank you all BTW again! -Steve

I think the trans re-learn will take somewhat longer and will update to its optimum feel moderately.  Z

If you're noticing what feels like a miss at idle, be prepared for that to come and go in perpetuity with the 3.5 ECO.

BigRedSHO

Copy all, and thanks! I have noticed through the last 24 hours the idle is no longer rough or jumpy at all, and I let the car idle for about 20 minutes to try and duplicate the P2111/P2135, but nothing. So far, so good.
