Wheel options/opinions

Looking for some different wheels for the 13 and would like to get everyone's opinions.  The factory flower wheels have horrible curb rash and I don't want to pay to smooth them out plus powder coat.

Looking at several wheels from american muscle and debating on style and color.  I like the idea of dark charcoal wheel but also black is appealing. Here's a few I'm looking at. Going with 20x8.5 +30 offset all the way around with the current Nitto 255/45's. Not dead set on any of these, just throwing ideas out there.

I wanted something easy to clean since mine is a daily and I'm a detail freak.  TSW Panorama's 20x8.5 40MM offset (6.25 BS)

I don't know if a 30mm will fit.  I tried to stay as close to OEM wheel specs as I could.

I would advise you to stay away from American Muscle.  I've had two sets of their wheels on my mustangs and they were garbage.  They were off balance substantially by themselves, their center caps are proprietary meaning you can't put any other cap in their place without butchering your OEM ones up with glue or tape.

Get a GOOD wheel, not knock offs of knock offs.

If you look on EBAY Late Model Restoration is closing out several TSW wheels.  I got mine for 45% off retail.

Didn't realize American Muscle had so many issues with wheels.  I've bought a few items from them for my fox body mustangs but never a set of wheels.  I'll look into LMR and see what they've got.  I'd love a set of TSW Nurburgrings but I've read so many issues of the wheel coating not standing up to the elements.

I just got the itch today to start looking for wheels and I'm gonna wait until spring to put them on so I figured today was as good as any to start shopping  ;D

Get some interceptor wheels with ultra high performance tires and call it a day! lol

I think the mesh wheels are played out, reminds of me of slammed VW and BMW dickheads.

I vote for black powder coating.  That's what I would do if my wheels were thrashed.

I spend enough time looking at police steelies, don't need them on my car too. Lol

I'm still kicking around powdercoat but they are scraped to hell. I'll get a quote soon. Probably end up going with a real dark grey instead of black if I go that route.

Call it a "weathered & original" look and move on :)  People DO take pride in that!
2007 Ford Edge SEL, Powerstop F/R Brake Kit, TXT LED 6000K Lo & Hi Beams, W16W LED Reverse Bulbs, 3BSpec 2.5w Map Lights, 5W Cree rear dome lights, 5W Cree cargo light, DTBL LED Taillights

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

Oh, I'm way to stubborn to leave it as is.

I would do black between black and dark charcoal. The AM 20x8.5 with 30mm offset will fit but sit out a little more than the stockers. Another member has had them and they look wonderful on his car, I will be getting them once my car arrives as well.
