Hey all,

I just placed an order for a 2015 PP last week and am waiting on the car to be built and delivered. However, the "flower" wheels have got to go. I have been looking at the Drag DR-37 as a replacement - found here http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...8&wd=20&rw=8.5 but wanted to make sure that they would fit. I was thinking of getting these http://www.discounttiredirect.com/d....=030180&cs=245 mounted on them. Will this fit properly and work well for a daily driver?

Also I have 24 locking lugnuts with the key from my 2005 F150 that I will be trading in, does anyone know if they will fit the SHO?

Also, does anyone know what a good asking price would be for the PP wheels with the summer tires that they will have from the factory? They should have under 100 miles.

Thanks for any and all help.

After I get wheels and tires that can handle a winter, and make a few payments I will be looking into a Livernoise 4+ tune, drop in K&N or similar filter, and catless downpipes with borla catback! (And maybe H&R lowering springs)

The offset looks pretty high for only an 8.5" wide wheel.  Typically should be +30 or less.  So it will stick out a little bit in the front.  Rear probably ok because of the wider stance of the SHO there.

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

IDK, I get more positive remarks about my flowers than any other wheel I've had on a car.

You flowers are also quite a bit more exclusive than that style wheel IMHO.

I just bought a very lightly used set of 18's and blizzaks for $900 here on the board.

I'm looking forward to lots of winter shenanigans with real winter tires and AWD.

UHP all seasons have gotten pretty good but they won't match a dedicated winter/spring-summer-fall setup.

Amazon has it listed as being a 30mm offset, so im not sure which is correct, I guess I need to call and ask, would a 30mm offset be better with 245/45/20s?

Also are there any general guidelines to stick to in choosing a rim setup regarding width and offset that will fit safely? I have tried to research but havnt found too much.

As for the flowers, I just really dont like the way they look and no matter what I do I will need to get all seasons or a winter tire for the winter, but for what I have seen SHO rims alone sell for it seems like I could do pretty well swapping to something else, and I really like the GT500 style wheels on a mustang, or the RTR style, and these are similar, and pretty cheep (but have recieved good reviews). Plus I want to black it out and this is a first step.

As far as dedicated winter tires go, if I had a garage here then that would be fine by me, but since I have no where to put a second set of tires/rims I would rather have something I can drive in whatever conditions and not have to worry.

EDIT: It also seems that these can be ordered in a 38mm offset, from http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/findWheelDetail.do?bp=5-114.30&fl=&yr=2015&pc=13830&counter=1&wd=20&rw=8.5&vid=030180 would that work better?

Usually the tire & wheel companies list good fits for your vehicle.  It's just a question of how picky you are that the wheel is flush to the exterior vs aggressive (poking out) vs conservative (completely inside the fender lip).  Also having proper offset puts less strain on the axle, good for longevity.

If you go with wider wheels, you would be looking at lower offset (a higher positive number) such as +40/+45.  I don't remember exactly what the offset of the stock wheels is, but it is around +30.  The offset is specified in millimeters.  If the wheel is wider than stock, you would want to take the width difference in millimeters, divide by half,  and add to the stock offset number (if getting a wider wheel), or subtract from the stock offset number (if getting a narrower wheel).  That keeps the geometry at stock levels.  A little variation is OK.

Some successful combos:
18X8 with 35mm offset
20x8.5 with 40mm offset (front), 20x10 with 40mm offset (rear)
20x9.5 with 36/42mm offset (front/rear)

Thanks for the help! As far as the standard PP wheels any suggestions on the best way to sell those?

Or any ideas on the lug nuts?

Thanks again!

The flower wheels are the best OEM wheel in my books

What color is your SHO?

I run these Enkei 18's for my winter setup and I think they would look good in a 20":

Funny how our brakes barely fit in a 18" wheel lol.

Ill be getting it in Tuxedo Black, I dont mind the style of the flower wheels, I just really dont like the machined part and wish they had an extra spoke set. I may just plastidip them and get a good set of all seasons put on.

I've been hunting for a pair of OE flower power wheels w/o tires.  If you decided to sell them, come up with some price and are willing to sell a pair please shoot me a PM.
