I've got a pair of infinity reference 2 way 3.5's in the garage and it looks like they will fit. If so how do I remove the center speaker in the front and rear?  Thanks guys

The front grille pops off easily there are 4 push type clips holding it down  . Two bolts for the speaker,  I believe the rear tray cover needs to come off to change the back.

Agree with Glock.its fairly simple process as long as you have the proper tools because you do not want to break or scratch anything up,personally used a plastic squeegee to safely remove the front cover, then you will need a 7mm socket to remove the bolts on the speakers,BTW try starting in the front ,pics below.  Z

If you have a harbor freight nearby this is the tool set I used. Works great and it's cheap.

Exactly what I had.

Turns out the speaker won't fit.  Damn.  The tweeter on the top is to high for the panel to fasten back down.  It could be shaved down a bit, but to be honest I don't think it will clear even doing that.  I am glad to see it wasn't a paper speaker in the center though.  I also noticed the center speaker is 8ohm.  Replacing it with a 4ohm probably wouldn't have been the best of idea's anyway.

Yes the two center speakers are 8 ohm wired in parallel to achieve the required 4 ohm load for the amp. 2 4ohm probably would've been fine, just would have pushed the amp a little harder.

Nice.  good info.

I may pony up and get some Infinity 6830 components for the doors/pillars.  I had them in my last Marauder and in my current Cobra.  I love their range of sound and clarity.  This OEM stereo is good, but going from my Cobra to the SHO it feels very flat and not dynamic at all.  I'll take some time and search around about removal of the A-pillar pieces and door panels.  In the Marauder they were 5 minute job to remove, no clips at all.
