Loving the sound of my new exhaust!

I forgot to ask how I get the numbers I need when calling livernoise for the tune. I plugged in the mycal last nite and it gave me a serial number is that the number I need? I agree with Manu... Check the PCV connections. The other codes are an APIM communication code and failure to complete a check...
For the numbers to LME... They need the VIN which you have easily, but they also need the strategy code (SG)... Turn everything off in the car, plug in the MyCal and follow the prompts to go to engineering mode... Then the SG will appear.  After you have checked everything you will have to clear the codes with the MyCal before it will load your tunes... Again... Follow the prompts.

Ok so I did this earlier just to see if I could get the SG and it didn't work. I turned the car off before starting the process and followed the prompts into tuning mode. It had me turn the car to on position then off and on again w/o starting the car. In the end it says:


Am I doing something wrong?

Im not sure where or when you purchased your car but looks like you have a fairly new rear valve cover with the original oil seperator and heated pcv valve,based on the pics there is some oil residue around the heated pcv connector as mentioned earlier,(trying to put the puzzle together)BTW any previous work done on your car ?

after purchasing it last September I was stranded the 3rd day because the some valve was stuck open so it was replaced. Then most recently the injectors were all replaced because they were stuck open. Other than that just the exhaust installation the other day.

They will reset it and give you 4 tunes plus stock (total of 5 tunes on the MyCal at one time)... With lifetime service for $250, but it starts with the payment. It is all done from their server. If you have the instruction sheet it should get the SG if plugged in by going to engineering mode. Follow the prompts and ask for that.... Then ask for the strategy code (SG)... If that doesn't work I'd call them. I was able to get the SG before my reset on the used MyCal I bought.... Maybe it's changed... Maybe something else?

Unfortunately there was no instruction sheet included when it was given to me at the shop. Can you upload a pic of it ?

Did you try holding the N AND UP BUTTONS simutaneously while plugging the device into the OBD port will enter engineering mode,once on E.M you will see voltage and the ECU CAL/STRATEGY AND SW I.D,which can be found in the same menu as the strategy. Z is correct. Get the SWID and SC. Before you make the call. They will also want the device serial number which is on the back.  Here's a copy of the instruction sheet for the MyCal... Sorry about the old notes on it. Just ignore them.

The only thing those instructions don't have you do is the hokey pokey.  That's a lot of steps compared the sct x4
