Best time of the night. I am not sure what the DA was at the time of the run but it felt cool and my car was showing 74f. It probably has 12.5 in it but track closed at 9:30pm so this was my last and best run out of about 8 runs where 5 were 12.8 so I am pretty happy. How does the trap speed look for my mods guys?

Great runs!!! Welcome to the 12 second club!!!

Man, that first run had to have you worried a bit...nice recovery runs.

You adjust tire pressure, launch rpm?

Rich
Yeah I sure did get worried after the first run! Last few runs I adjusted the tire pressure but it didnt help much at all. I was launching at 2k the whole time. I think I could run a lot better if my car would let me launch over 2 k but every time I try the traction control kicks in even tho I had it off!

DA was 2053 an hour ago...you definitely have some room for improvement just on weather conditions...12.6 looks easily had in better conditions

Practice makes perfect!  Like Rich said, you gots lots left in youse.
I hope you guys are right. I tryed cooling it down for 20 min between few runs but it did not seem to make a difference. The car feels like it started to get faster at the end of the night but they closed at 9 30. The good thing is even when I made 3 runs one after another the car would still trap 106-108 so the heath does not seem to be killing it too much probably due to the t-stat and Torries good tuning.

You can try taking off the weatherstripping at the back of the engine compartment along the firewall that seals the back part of the hood to the engine bay.  It helps heat buildup escape faster.  Were you logging your trips down the track?

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

I saw an interesting move at the track last time by a 2014 Mustang although it was test and tune and not super busy. He would literally drive down the track at 45 mph just to cool off the car and then would turn around and go down full speed (essentially hot lapping) he said it helped...not really practical in all situations though.

Putting the fans to work along with passive cooling maybe?  Do the tunes turn on the second fan by default or is it still AC signal dependent?

That sounds like a great idea. I've noticed some of my better times are when I'm up front in the staging lanes...as they start our class of cars, if your 10 cars back you have almost 10 minutes of idle time with the car building heat, no good. At Livernois CAD you get the chance at hot lapping and it does help keep IAT temps at bay, but only for s run or 2. Then it's soaked and a good hour cool down is needed to be effective again.

1781 at 9:15.  Good runs!  Nice job!  When I go to the track, my first run is always my worst, too.  DA plays a big role.  I think you have a 12.5 second car under the right conditions.

Sweet I will log the tune I have now and have Torrie keep improving it since he wantes me to keep logging. I think I have a 12.5 car too, thats my goal next time at the track.

I have now idea how mine is set up, Torrie does not give many details.
