Went out to the track with my son as it was the only day he could make work before heading to college. Had a fun time but it was super hot and humid with a DA of 2955 so that really hurt the times. Best run of the day was 13.039 @ 105. It was an interesting day for sure! I didn't realize it but apparently there was a big event at the track the next day so all the big boys were there testing. Most of the cars were purpose built drag cars running in the 10s and a couple of dragsters in the 7's. Fun to watch but really not anyone to actually race so that stunk a bit. There was one Mustang there (around a 2014 model I believe) with drag radials, a bolt on intake manifold that he swapped out at the track (not the air intake but the actual manifold), and full exhaust only running 13.1 or so. He left early so never got to line up against him...would have been a good race. Got several compliments from some guys that were totally shocked how fast my car is - although one of them threw in a "for what is" comment.

My son did great as well although he was always a tenth slower than me and I know it was his launch but he kept trying to beat me since he weighs 20lbs less...I had him try different launch rpms and tire pressures. Traction control full on or full off...nothing really helped. Lol. It was ridiculously hot even at 9 in the morning and the humidity was off the charts. I would have loved to say the car runs 12s but that will be a theoretical statement for now I guess!

On a side note the PP package kept everything nice and cool even when hot lapping. PTU never exceeded 190. Trans never got over 195. Coolant hit 210 at end of one run but cooled right off.
