What Tranny fluid are you running?

You dont get all the old crap out that way...better off to take a tranny cooler line off and let the car run..all the trash will come out of the converter

Very true, doing drain and fills is only a partial fluid change which does leave old fluid in the torque converter but they do a good job of diluting the old fluid with clean fresh fluid which makes a big difference.  Now up to 237k+ on the original 6F50 transmission in my '08 Taurus X doing drain and fills is working well for me.

Yea 75w-140 in the ptu and 75w-110 in the rdu i think...whatever it calls for...cant remember
