Loud air noise / no boost / boost hose or wastegate?

Hi,

Today going to the store I did a WOT run on my 2011 SHO and I heard a sudden rush of air with a significant amount of power loss right afterwards, almost like a boost hose blew off. I do not know where all the boost lines/hoses are and I'm not sure if this is a problem or not with the ecoboost. Can someone chime in and help me locate where the boost hose / lines are?

Thanks,

All the hoses with boost should come off the charge pipe... The one that comes from the rear turbo to the IC with the BOVs on it.  If you don't have hard pipes check the plastic pipes for cracks and the connections for leaks.  Could be a waste gate problem or even a broken O-ring on a manifold or IC to manifold pipe where the MAP or intake sensors insert.

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

I agree with SHOdded and BiGMaC,definetly check the wastegate pressure hoses which is a very common issue and it doesnt matter if your tuned or not,its just an ongoing problem that Ford seems not to address, its the hose connected to the intake charge pipe with no 1/4 hose clamp on it,they tend to pop off or after a while the rubber hose gets brittle due to the heat and crack, pics below highlighted in blue, best of luck and welcome aboard.  Z

A few days ago I heard what sounded like the BOV, first time ever and hasn't happened since (checked the hose yesterday and it seemed fairly tight, but I cut the end anyways and reattached). Should that ever happen being OEM or is it always supposed to recirculate?

(and here's an OEM pic for the OP of the unclamped hose)
