Wtf Did I do to my sho? New exhaust makes my car sound like a rice burner

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

Just thinking that since the 2 bar ran fine for a minute...maybe you're getting some extra CAC crap sucked up.

Would definitely check stock tune setup.

Any DTC'S at all through the tuning device?

I ran the stock tune and it was fine... No popping, quacking, or studdering etc at WOT.

The only DTCs I was getting were from the rear 02 Sensor for efficiency.

I'm getting my stock down-pipes installed today... I am also having the muffler place check the work. I have a feeling that the rasp is from bad gasket or something in those lines.

I'll let everyone know how that goes.

Checking the cac is a good idea, excess oil being sucked up may cause a misfire at high boost. Also one thing I didn't realize you are running the k&n intake. Ensure that the air filter is clean and not over oiled. Good luck at the muffler shop!

it came from the factory. It could be "over oiled"... I'll check later.

Go to a good muffler shop and have them put in a dual in/out muffler like the factory has somewhere in the mid pipe area, I would be that reduces it massively.

That was my original plan but I need to get my car stable first... and I'll be going with catted DPs... the smell and smoke is obnoxious.

I would personaly start off with the basics,like mentioned earlier swap the 3-bar sensors around and see if you notice any difference,also a can of maf cleaner is in order and try cleaning both of them,1)is there any oil buildup arround the throttle body?if so you could have oil inside the map sensors coming from your CAC causing your issues,2)are you using a full synthetic oil? and as mentioned a while back it is important to install new gaskets X4 FOR A SECURE LEAK proof system,the exhaust system only builds up to a 500 degree level lol,after a couple hundred mile due to the heat expansion,re-torque all the bolts,if a leak is detected it will emit improper AFR readings causing your symptoms,a(ALMOST DONE)like mentioned a while back damage to the 02 sensors upon install,(TWISTED)wiring can lead to your issues as well,all the above mentioned should be installed with caution,because of the fragile components,personaly would try to rule out the above mentioned,ESPECIALLY IF YOUR ISSUES STARTED RIGHT AFTER THE DP AND EXHAUST INSTALL,just my 2 cent. Z

One more update for people.

The muffler place called (Mufflers and Pipes in Waukesha WI is hands down the best muffler place in the area), and they said that everything was installed correctly from the first shop. They checked the gaskets and the other parts, and everything was good. Apparently the Corsa + stainless works is a bad combination.

They also straightened the exhaust so that the rear tips align properly...

The factory DPs are back on for now.

With that being stated -- I'll be selling my stainless works 2.5" downpipes once i can take pictures of their current condition (600 miles on them... I'd expect them to be rainbowed). I'll give someone a killer deal on the catless downpipes if anyone is interested. You'll see a for sale listing probably today.

I'm sorry but that sounds goofy and terrible...its sounds just like when people put duals on old ford rangers or v6 mustangs and camaros..

It's just like having an ugly baby..you force yourself to love it....you can't stand the thought of just coming to the realization that you just wasted a grand lol so you say it sounds sweet lol
