Scratch remover?

Hey guys!

Quick question...
I have a small scratch on my motorcycle due to some clumsiness while I was getting off the bike. I was wearing boots and my foot slid across the rear fender and caused some scratches. The scratches are not that deep but when you have a black painted vehicle scratches look magnified.  I have seen some products that claim they can work magic with scratched, such as, Quixx Scratch Remover and Turtle wax scratch repair kit. What do you guys think? Do they really work? Any input would be highly appreciated.

Cheers!

If its just in the clear coat any fine polishing compound will get it out. If its deeper you may need to touch it up and then do a polish. I LOVE Adams Polish's products, they have a range of polishes from hand applied up to machine. Best car care products available IMHO - and all made in USA, from a guy who started out detailing cars and wanted good products so he developed them. http://adamspolishes.com/

When you run your fingernail over the scratch, does it catch on it? If not, just like vernonator said, any polishing compound will work. I've used high priced compounds and they work great. I've also had good luck with Meguiars Ultimate Compound that you can pick up at Walmart.

If your fingernail catches on the scratch, then it is going to take more work.

CarPro Reflect... I love it for shallow scratches or swirls... The abrasive is very fine for last step polish and it disintegrates as you use it... Gets finer and finer... The result, even with your hand is like a mirror for small clear coat scratches.

no, the scratches are not deep. So will polish it and see whether that tackles the problem.

Thanks guys!
