Oil In The Intake Piping

I guess I fail to understand why this matters.

AFAIK, it's only speculative that Amsoil uses a pure PAO basestock. And even so, what means do they have to use pure synthesized lubes? They don't have assets. So, what do they do? Either contract the refinement or synthesis of their base oils to a big oil refinery. Or, just purchase it in bulk. And then treat it with their proprietary additive packages. Perhaps their base is heavily Group IV, but I highly doubt it is pure. It definitely has some II or III in it.

It's just like the petrol market - there is literally an open market, trade and exchange for blendstock fuels. That means the Shell fuel refined at Motiva Port Arthur gets traded or sold to Exxon, and vise verse.
Well, it's the same for lubes. Basestocks are traded, sold and exchanged. It's the proprietary additive packages treated later which brands an oil, and makes it perform.

Don't base your oil choices on the proclaimed grouping of basestock. Base it on performance.

Try Pennzoil Platinum Pure Plus. It is their fairly new GTL basestock. They are quote proud of it. And it seems to perform quite well.

I also have oil in the intake. I pointed it out to my dealer and they said it's normal.

I have witnessed the same issue with my 13. Not as much oil though. A dirty or restrictive air filter will cause the problem to get worse, also any restriction to the PCV system can also make it worse and lastly too much oil in the pan can also cause a similar situation (over fill). I took mine in when I had a similar issue and the dealer said it was normal (I had 45K KM on mine at the time). I am still not sure what is normal, all I know is that it can accumulate in the CAC, and if you get on it on the expressway it will suck all that out of the CAC and into the intake. Risking vapour lock or just a shudder (which will be logged by the car as several misfires). Again this happened to me in the past (the shudder). A turbo upgrade and meth are my next mods to my ride, the OEM turbos can be a PITA when it comes to this issue, the dealers and Ford are not willing to do anything about it unless its really bad. With the stock tune it is difficult to replicate these conditions as it doesn't suck/blow as hard as good 93 tune. I know that the F150's have had similar issues with both water and oil in the CAC causing a shudder at WOT in higher gears (easier to replicate different turbos/cac) I would keep an eye on the level in the CAC. here is a link to the how to for the CAC,

Yours looks like it has a lot of oil in there, possibly a bad seal on the rear turbo. I would be pushing your dealer to replace it.

Looking at how the PCV system connects a bad seal on the rear turbo is the only way I can see oil leaking and creating build up on the pipe coming off of it.

Update:

So i brought the car to another delaership, i just received a call from the service director and he said they confirmed the rattle on start up and the blue smoke on hard acceleration. They are going to change out the turbos and they need more time to pinpoint the rattle in the engine. Now why in the world couldn't the first dealer diagnose my issues?

Cool!  Hope they get that rattle pinpointed too!  Might be oil filter/phasers or timing chain in early stages.

I had heavy oil build up on my 2013 SHO in the same location.  Ive cleaned everything up and have been monitoring it since.  The last oil change I took a look from below at the rear turbo, seemed to have some oil around it also.  The car has only seen Royal Purple.  No noticeable smoke out of the exhaust but I do smell a slight scent of oil after a long drive.

How's your air filter look. My Windstorm looked clean, but after 2 days of using stock box with new K&N drop in, the slight oil smell I had is gone. I think the rise in temps and humidity are about to cause issues for many.

Been running a K&N drop in for some time now and this is something that is more recent as I do not remember noticing the smell last year.  33K miles and counting.

Update: The dealer just called me to tell me my car is ready to be picked up, they did change one turbo. I was hoping that they would change both of them. As far as the knock on start up goes they said Ford is not going to do anything about it right now because it only makes the noise for 5-10 seconds on a cold start but if you start it right back up the noise is gone so Ford is calling this normal. I call B.S. this definitely not normal. i guess i will have to wait for it to get worse or blow up witch ever comes first.

Some progress at least!  In the meantime you can see if changing oil brands/filters/viscosities helps with the startup rattle at all.  Full synthetic seems to be called for.
