Well I figured after 20k miles I better check and get ready to replace plugs... Pulled out just one and it's cracked in two places. Ouch. Well glad I looked. These are the sp534 plugs I had put in when I first tuned my SHO. Time for a new set!

I thought this problem has gone the way of the dodo, but apparently not!  What did the gapping look like?  May have to go to 10K intervals for you ;)
2007 Ford Edge SEL, Powerstop F/R Brake Kit, TXT LED 6000K Lo & Hi Beams, W16W LED Reverse Bulbs, 3BSpec 2.5w Map Lights, 5W Cree rear dome lights, 5W Cree cargo light, DTBL LED Taillights

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

Only that one plug was cracked. All of the plugs were between 028 and 030.. Not bad.

3 of them were a brown orange and the other 3 were more just brown.

Only took me about an hour to change them. Paid Fords markup though... 7 bucks a plug at the Ford dealership. No place in town had them and I didn't want to wait to order online.

My stock ford plugs had the same discoloring happening. I went with a denso this time. Hope they hold up better.

Those look pretty decent to me. I'm not sure what's up with the fracture in the porcelain body. Only one was that way? Just a one-off I'd guess.

The orangish coloring is normal, though.

Yeah the plugs looked good to me.. I mean 20k miles shouldn't destroy plugs. Car is running better for sure though. My sporadic idle has tamed down quite a bit. Haven't done any WOT runs but I'm sure it'll be smoother.

To me the insulator looks pretty dried up on the plugs, did you use any dielectric grease on the core and boots, how are the condition of the boots, especially the one connected to that cracked porcelain plug, and as SHOdded mentioned the plugs should be changed more frequent especially with a tune, take a look at this reference, hope this helps any.Z     http://www.ngk.com.au/spark-plugs/technical-information/spark-plug-analysis

Yeah now that I added methanol injection I plan on changing every 10k. I had the local Ford dealer change them last time and they did use grease. There was still some on the plugs. The boots on all the plugs looked good to me. Nothing out of the ordinary I guess. I didn't inspect it that hard but they all looked good.
