x2 on the congrats!  Great, great news, though I am afraid the big bang for your buck will still be, like PM pointed out, a tune for the SHO ;)
2007 Ford Edge SEL, Powerstop F/R Brake Kit, TXT LED 6000K Lo & Hi Beams, W16W LED Reverse Bulbs, 3BSpec 2.5w Map Lights, 5W Cree rear dome lights, 5W Cree cargo light, DTBL LED Taillights

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

For the price of a CAI you can tune it...with lifetime service... by buying a used tuner.  At least from Unleashed or LME. That's what I did. Congrats on the coming addition. No one can afford kids (I have 4)... Just do a budget rearrangement.

Sad/Happy day.  Finally gave-up/parted with my 2010 Steel Blue Metallic SHO.  Most enjoyable vehicle I have owned-including several 60s era GTOs.  This one topped them all. But age creeps in-not that I am old- just more difficult for spouse and I to get into/out of low vehicle. Tough when knees are higher than but in sitting position.

So parked in my drive is a 2016 Explorer Sport with all the goodies-no police interceptor package.  Ingot Silver with 31 miles as she sits. (say that 3 times fast).
You didn't think I was going to give up the big ecoboost did you?

Now to figure out how to remove front license plate bracket.  Dealer advertising plate.  Had to sign paper that I would not charge them for advertising.  Rear is easy.  Front bracket not so much.

But it is nice.  Will be exploring.

Gotta do whatcha gotta do, c!  Glad to see ya kept it in the Ford EB family :thumb:  Good luck with it, many happy memories!  If it's anything like the Edge, the front license bracket is held on by rivets, which of course would need to be drilled out.

I guess after hearing about the largest recall for the Mazda CX-9 might make some Edge owners feel on the Edge after hearing about that and makes you wonder.  Z        http://www.nbcnews.com/business/autos/mazda-recalls-cx-9-suvs-prevent-loss-steering-n404486

Wow, that's no good!  No such problems with the Edge, although water leaks are currently plaguing the 2015 MY.

Congrats!  At least tune it :)

thanks! i'll ask for a tune for my birthday or Christmas. after looking at pics online, it looks like the rear springs are the right type that can be cut so I can bring the rear end down and that I can do for free! but it's going to still be awhile. very hectic few weeks ahead, gotta finish my annual training for the reserves, start school, wedding plan, baby doctor visits and my contracting job is switching company's so I gotta freshen up the resume and interview for my same job.... ughh

IDK, cutting springs on a 4500 lb car seems like a terrible idea.

AJP turbo

It absolutely is a terrible idea..a lot of springs have a progressive rate meaning the spring rate is non linear.. So cutting them probably throws the design geometry out of whack. it's just a cheapo way to do something ...such a classy car to have a tasteless mod done to it..springs are so cheap

ehhh, i'm only going to cut 1/4 of a coil. and if the ride goes to heck, i'll get some H&R's or PP springs. it'll be an experiment, weeee!

Well plan is for when & if I ever do a huge burn out.  Might look cool.  Might have to move camera back.  I wanna hear the turbos spool.
