LED DRL's and puddle lamps installed

I didn't do a how to since Big Mac said he was going to put one up. Here are my thoughts and tips

Puddle lights

Be careful when unplugging the wires from the factory bulbs. I broke the female connector by pulling on it. I would use a screw driver or pliers and take it easy. I had replacements on hand so it was an easy fix.   The new ones a re so much brighter and it's not even dark yet. Night pics will follow later.

DRL's

This was pretty easy with the instructions Dan sent to me. My tip with removing the bezels would be to have multiple tools (plastic to avoid scratching) on hand. I took each tool and inserted it above each clip and left it there. This made getting the next one in easier and held the clip while it got the rest of them. Once I had all 4 clips depressed on top I just slid the bezel out of the bumper. Due to how short the pigtail is on the driver side and the limited room to get your arms in the wheel wells I recommned feeding the wire from the control box down and plugging it into the pigtail before putting the DRL into the wheel well and clipping it in. When I went to plug in the fuse I found that my car only had up to fuse 66 in the fuse block and Dans instructions said to use 90 or 92. I called him at 4:30 on a Saturday and he called me back in about 3 minutes. We worked through it and found it was fuse 34 (I think) which is the 10 amp fuse for the PCM. Great service from Dan on that. The rest was pretty smooth other than the tight spaces getting to the turn signal bulbs and wire harnesses. You may loose a little skin from your knuckles if your hands are much bigger than a toddlers.

Here are my pics. I'm still working on reprinting the bezels so their not on the car yet. Thanking them off was a good excuse to reprint them from the chips and scratches they already had.

Looks great, my next mod for sure.  I put the puddle LEDs in from Dan about 6 months ago and it was a PITA from what I remember.  Was hard to get them out.

I got the new puds too... love the increased brightness. I didn't have much difficulty getting the puds out... however, i'll be removing them and blacking out the  clear surround to stop the backlighting in the mirror housing.

I also ordered  the adaptor today that will add the functionality of the DRLs flashing amber unlocking, staying on when car is stopped until the auto shutoff turns all lighting off, and flashing amber on door opening with sustained white... it's on Dan's website... I think it will add finish.

Those are nice features. I'll have to check that out for sure. I didn't hook up the dim feature with headlight after seeing that you didn't either. I just went out to pick up dinner and they are bright enough that when you turn on the left turn signal you can see the white light on the ground turn off and the Amber come on. They are really nice to have on.

I know this may be a silly question, but any reason why you did not reinstall the bezel cover?

They were pretty chipped up so I am in the process of reprinting them. I've got them sanded, primed and a few light coats of paint and wet sanding done. Today I will do a few coats of clear and more wet sanding. I should have them back on today.

Now if someone can figure out how to project an image on the ground, like the new Mustang and Lincoln's, that would be cool too....
