The MagnaFlow X pipe is pre-made at factory. Muffler shops just pull from shelf to install. You can have muffler shop build any size you want but would be too cost prohibitive for me.
Magnaflow makes a 2.25" x pipe do you think there would be a difference between the two?

It sounds really great without any drone or raspy sound effects, but better yet still retaining that sleeper sound, just to another level. Z

Personally I think it would be too minimal to notice from a performance standpoint. But that little difference could affect the sound/tone.

I am completely satisfied with my exhaust note. As you said, my 5000 lb sleeper. The best ecoboost exhaust I've heard comes from the new GT. But even with that haven't heard it at WOT.

I have catless down pipes and I feel no difference whatsoever tuned and stock....maybe my butt dyno needs calibrated and isn't as good as what others are using
Is there a lot of bad smell from fuel or anything else that u notice from non catted dps? Which ones do u have?

I have the stainless works downpipes. And no I don't notice any smells. I have the stock cat back so I have the stock 3rd cat and resonators and mufflers. So I guess the 3rd cat manages the odors and no rasp either for the record. but that doesn't surprise me considering the cat and resonator and mufflers.

The combo is ever so slightly louder than stock, sounds kinda deep at idle and startup but stock tone overall. Relatively quite I guess.

Good to hear I plan to get the 3" dp from torrie once he gets them in stock in a month or so... i am just a bit disapointed that ur saying you couldnt notice a difference with dp's, u seem to know what ur doing with ur car.

no smell from mine either.  Stainless works non catted with third cat and muffler with MRT axle back.  I was gonna get the 3" pipes too but got a deal while waiting for them to be made so I didn't get them.

I'm sure it did make a difference. But trying to convince yourself that you feel 10-20ft lbs when the car is making 450-500 torque seems silly to me...

If you are looking for something you can feel then change boost pressure and or timing if you are looking to change sound then do exhaust mods

SHOw-Me State

Sabtaj1--

Liked the clip I heard of your exhaust.  Eventually I may go the route you did, but probably with catted DPs due to inspection in Missouri.  Which MRT axle back did you purchase?  After a quick search, I didnt see anything specific for the SHO (or Flex in your case).

Thanks!
2011 SHO non-PP, Ingot Silver, 2013 fender vents, all stock (for now).
Future: Tune, 3-bar, new plugs.  Catted DP and exhaust someday.

They do have a flex specific set up.  I am sure if they don't have one for the sho they would be more than happy to make them for the sho too.
