The 2015 Ford Ecoboost Police units did well in Michigan State police testing. In 2014, over 50% of police units sold were Fords.

Ford once again nabbed the title of the quickest accelerating police car.
Powered by the turbocharged 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 (365 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque), the Ford Police Interceptor sedan out-gunned both of its V8 competitors in Michigan State Police testing, blitzing from zero to 60 mph in just 5.85 seconds and onto 100 mph in 14.19 seconds.
The comparable 6.0-liter V8 Chevrolet Caprice PPV (355 horsepower) came in second with 6.17 seconds and the 5.7-liter V8 Dodge Charger Pursuit (370 horsepower) finished third out the trio at 6.31 seconds."
"Even the larger Explorer-based Police Interceptor Utility topped the quick-list at the end of the day. The Utility scored an impressive 6.55 seconds from zero to 60 and 16.13 seconds up to 100 mph. Further testing in California kept those knockout bells ringing. Rather strikingly, in the hands of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, the Interceptor Utility not only out-accelerated its V8 competition but also the V6 sedan competition."
