This Turbo Power windshield washer fluid has 45-50% methanol... Seems like a great option for meth/water mix. You could and 12oz. of 100% methanol to boost up the meth content an additional 7%....

Snow Performance > • Windshield Washer fluid: Only if it is blue in color and rated for -20 deg F. It should have no special additives. This means it is safe to use and made of about 30% methanol, 70% water. If it is another color or another temperature rating, do not use it.
• You can "spike" your Blue -20 Washer fluid to a 50% mixture by adding 3 12OZ yellow bottles of Heet® gas-line-antifreeze to every gallon of washer fluid.

Just spoke with the tech line at Snow Performance and they confirmed the Turbo Power washer fluid mentioned above will work fine with their systems... It's just a stronger fluid than the normal -20 winter windshield washer fluid.

How safe or reliable is the meth kit? What happens if you run out of it and keep driving without it, while tuned for it?

wasinger3000

As long as you don't go past the boost turn on there are zero tune related issues. If you are out of meth and you do go past that point you can cause damage. It's pretty hard to run out of meth. I went on an 800 mile trip without filling the tank and I was doing a lot of wot runs.

Is there something to notify the driver that the system is get ting low, faulty pump, leak, or simply meth not spraying? How easy is it to maintain the system and recharge?

Yes. The car has a low washer fluid warning built in. Or you can use an after market one and an led.

As for when thr pump Is on, I wired in an led that lights up when voltage is across the pump.

As for leaks and what not. That's simply a smell for it and be aware of what the car is doing. If you install the kit correctly the chance for leaks is very very slim.

As for maintenance, only thing to check is the filter on the nozzle. This is a check it once every six months to a year.

Thanks for the info!!! I see you have a math kit, what stage did you get, and how should one decide which stage to go with? What are some factors that will determine it? What are the differences among the stages?

Have you found this brand of washer fluid in any stores? Where online? I tried searching and came up with only the MSDS.
