How much boost should I get with LMS 3bar tune?

A couple weeks ago I installed the LMS 160* t-shirt and 3 bar along with their tune. Right now idle Temps are 178 to 185 and boost is max 14.7 psi but usually high 13s just like it did with a 2 bar. I thought with the 3 bar I was supposed to get something like 16 psi. Is everyone getting the same boost as a 2 bar?

With the 3bar Livernois introduces boost earlier and more evenly throughout to get more power. Less boost spikes for better efficiency and wear and tear.

The 3 bar is being used to more accurately meter the air, as it is supposed to have more precision in addition to range over the 2 bar MAP.  You could have them turn up the boost, but the stock turbos start losing efficiency after 18 16 psi or so, I believe.  Have to look at the specs again.

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

I'm reading boost using whatever torque's built in pid reads it from.

From our former SHO owner Dave and his dyno time I'm pretty sure he was at mid 13's for boost. I could be off on that. With torque I've seen spikes up to 16.4, but that's torque which is a bit off in this area.

;D

doing that on stock turbos? whats your AIT? lol
Yep stock snails. Intake temps after intercooler are around 40° on a 90° ish day. ::)

Wass, what are your cmc and iat 2 temps at?

How hot do your cats get?

Wow 40 is nice! what abouyt under heavy load? ( i was thinking about installing meth )

Dont mean to hack but how did you instal that boost gage? I think thats bad a$$

If my ambient temp is around 80 my intake temps are usually 5-10° hotter. Then after the intercooler before the meth nozzle it's around 130° then after meth the sensor on top of the manifold reads around 40° in just seconds after spraying. No idea on the cat temps. I'll have to see if there is an exhaust temp pid.

Before meth it's just normal temps. after 7 psi meth sprays and it says under 50° from 0-140.

It wasn't bad installing the boost gauge. It made it easy to install the meth boost control since I ran a vac/boost hose into the cab. Very little wiring,  just pos, neg, and headlight dim trigger. It has a boost sensor that you mount below the dash so you don't need to run a hose to the gauge itself. I love it.

What kind of a tuner are you running to read that many pids? i hope my X4 can do that!

Sorry for the bombardment of questions lol
