Does anybody with the livernois kit have any ideas for better times ? I have it set at around 6 and don't know if I should hit the test button before a run? I have lowered front tires to about 28 psi seemed to get better times that way and also seems to like launching around 1800 rpm! Thanks
My understanding is that Livernois, for the 2013-24, offers an excellent tune with or without the meth. But they could crank it more with the meth. I have been waiting 14 months for them to crank it up compared to the tune they had given me last May 2013. At that time, Dan from Livernois had told me he didn't have the time to crank it more so he preferred me to have a more conservative tune until he could take more time to figure it out with other cars with similar mods. 14 months later, they gave me my current tune. Car runs great, very smooth and great power, but it is actually slower than the tune I was running before and slower than my 2010 nonPP SHO that didn'T even have the downpipes. I have been communicating with them for the past 1-2 months waiting for them to give me a «more aggressive» tune, at least for track purposes... Still waiting...

You and me both, although I don't have the meth (yet). Im just not excited with the idea of purchasing the meth kit for my x (when it finally gets released) only to be sitting on it, that and I received a $3300 quote on a meth install from them

That is absurd.

Not sure if it's your "3" key or your "0" key that's sticking, but either way you should get that keyboard checked out.

Haha, seriously, I wish that was the case
Only modification I've made to this document is I removed my billing information
-the shipping costs...
But hey a $50 repeat customer discount on a $8235.00 quote is nice
I wont even point out the obvious that they have the 3 bar listed at $74.99 on their own website but quote me $150 here... Oh wait.
The quote is for a LAMBO RIGHT?

Well, it's not wholly unreasonable.  The quote includes transportation charges.  Nothing you can't arrange on your own, but it is nice to have that available.  The labor to install the methanol & dyno is probably on the "high" side, but I don't know time & hourly rates.  I think $1,000 is easily justifiable including installation, multiple dyno runs, and fine-tuning the tune if needed.  I am sure you could negotiate with them (privately) for a more pleasing cost to you.

If you are an avid DIY'er, you can always buy a good kit & install yourself or with the help of friends.  Become the first to write up a meth install for the X :D

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

I ordered just a tuner and a 170 stat about a year ago and until this day I am accustomed to the top notch service and modifications they have to offer.

Yea that's why I said -the delivery.
I have been back and forth in emails with them, always being polite. I'm not knocking these guys product in any way, I definitely love what it has done for my sport. But I do think my experience with their customer service has been subpar. Again, great product, I just personally feel like their customer service could really use some improvement. I dropped a little over 3k that included the tune, CAI, dp and exhaust, but this alone is more than that?
I may end up doing a diy kit afterall, I was just hoping to continue to give these guys business and save myself the headache, unfortunately at this point it doesn't look like the latter will be the case

Edit: I edited my post to not seem so biased against LMS, that was not my intention. Again I do indeed believe they make good products (as you can see from my sig I own a few). Plus I do not want to hijack this thread

Truthfully, the biggest issue is how far you are away. You are nearly 2,000 miles from us, and when we do a transport we leave from our facility, come to you, come back, and then do it again when the vehicle is done. So that's 8,000 miles of driving.

Our dually gets 9.5 MPG with our trailer behind it, diesel was 3.93 when we did the estimate. It also uses urea injection and will use about 5 gallons of it (it costs about $50 for this much urea). Now, factor food at 50/day (for 8 days, 4 days each trip), hotel stays (8 total, 4 per trip due to DOT "on duty" restrictions), tolls (approximately 350, 175 each time we are out),  and we are at 4909 without factoring any wear/tear or even paying the person driving the vehicle.

Now, as far as looking at pricing on things. Pricing on the estimates on vehicle packages will never make sense when singling out an individual line item. Our estimates are always engineered to meet x amount of dollars. Sometimes you will see an estimate that has a part for hundreds of dollars more than retail, sometimes it will be below our cost. Why? because they are place holders. Just like the $50 discount. It's not actually $50, it's just a placeholder designating that you are getting a repeat customer discount.

Think of it like this.

A+B+C= 150. the =150 is the only number that matters to us. A, B, C can be any mix of numbers so long as they hit $150...

All good thanks, but can you please address the concern of the OP? Is it possible to gain as much with the addition of a meth kit with the 2013-14 SHos compared to the 2010-12. It has been more than a year and a half and yet I am still behind what you guys had given me with my 2010 non-PP without dP. Now with my 2013 with PP and DP, my car is slower. Can you give us a tune as aggressive as the ones you offer in 2010-12 models? The OP is stating gains of about 0.2 sec on the 1/4 mile, but usually one should expects about 0.5 sec, right? Thanks! (btw, up here drag season is at its peak, so it'd be nice to enjoy a track tune before it ends!) ;)

Truthfully, he is comparing two different tracks, on two different days. Couple that with a subpar 60' and It's about where it should be.

The biggest thing that I think people forget is that most of the "big gains" people saw in 1/4 mile times on the 10-12 were compared to our old tunes. Look at the times the 4x is running, and compare that to the old stage 4 tune. It's almost the gain people saw on methanol. So now the methanol will help, but the delta between the two will not be what it was 4 years ago.

Typically, .2-.3 is about what I would expect from methanol with that, and the appropriate tuning being the only difference.

The delivery fee makes more sense now. Wouldn't it be far cheaper and much less hassle just to use a carrier service? Much less miles on his vehicle also....
