OK; I'm bringing this back up again in hopes to gather some data from members.

What I am looking for is your experience in rain with your wipers; and what brand they are.

I have already had Ford replace my windshield under warranty because I was experiencing streaking, clatter, not wiping windshield completely, and hazing--all of these happen when the wipers are on (regardless of speed or auto wipe).

I've gone through 10 sets of wipers since new windshield and the problem is still there. I've used OEM wipers and Rain-X wipers that Ford sells. It's becoming increasingly annoying but at same time I've learned to deal with it--it's fun driving at night with heavy rain.

What I'd like to know from you is;

1. Do you have issues with the wipers cleaning the windshield off without
A. Hazing
B. Streaking
C. Making ungodly noises
D. Leaving areas as if the blades completely missed it

I'm wondering if my wiper arms are screwed up or not putting enough pressure on the windshield.

As an aside, FlyBy30 is a highly recommended product from top detailers to keep windshields clear.  May work for this problem as well.  Look up Corey at carpro-us.com for help/more info.
2007 Ford Edge SEL, Powerstop F/R Brake Kit, TXT LED 6000K Lo & Hi Beams, W16W LED Reverse Bulbs, 3BSpec 2.5w Map Lights, 5W Cree rear dome lights, 5W Cree cargo light, DTBL LED Taillights

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

It sounds like your issue is probably related to your wiper arms, but one more thing to do is  clay bar  the windshield. I'm amazed at how much better my wipers work after I clay bar.

I've done that several times, no change.

Do you park under trees? Mine gets sap all over it every morning. Bought expensive $50 blades and they started chattering like the oem had

There is a spring built in the wiper arm,if you lift up your wiper arm all the way up you will see a spring with a tensioner built in,try to adjust it,so it provides better tension in the windshield.

I'm not sure if it's the spring.

I'll check it out.

Any idea which way tightens? Is it the normal righty tighty/lefty loose?

TASCA has the wiper arm AA5Z-17527-A AND AA5Z-17526-A FOR 17.00 EA,you have to remove the cover and then the nut, fairly simple process, you should be good to go,if you cant adjust the spring.

FoMoCo blades replaced once a year works for me, but have you tried Rainex. You don't need no stinkin' wipers most of the time.
