Maybe we should switch to a HAI (Hot Air Intake) kit at colder temps? Remove the Shoboat mod on the Airaid? Ideally, engine & trans should be at operating temp to gain max performance. If anything, if the engine is at OT and trans is not, I'd expect something in the trans to break and the ECU to throttle back best it can on sudden demand.
Coz nobody can disprove it, my pet theory relates to humidity & condensation forming a storm front within the combustion chamber. Maybe we should line the intake with water absorption crystals and dry out the air
