Getting the Heat out

I apologize if this has been covered before. I know there are a couple that have installed the Mustang hood vents. But correct me if I am wrong those vents are positioned on the Mustang so the heat from the exhaust can be removed from air coming in the front and leaving out the vents. Isnt there anybody else that thinks a heat extractor insert like the GT500 or even a good old cowl hood would help reduce the under hood temperature as this configuration on the SHO can get nice and toasty. I know I am old school and would love a good cowl hood for the function and weight reduction. I also feel that there is a market for this but I myself do not have the resources or funds to create a mold and market this. Just my two cents. Thank you for reading. Have a great day.

Curious, that would be interesting concept. Has anyone tried to make the fender "vents" functional? I wonder if that would have any impact?

I believe that the two I have see are functional. But where they are located I do not know how functional they are due to it being a transverse engine. I am sure a cowl hood would lower temps under the hood. This combined with that great Airaid modification to seal it up could make some good benefits. And make it look even more bad ass.

A cowl hood would be pretty epic. Even a scoop, I would not prefer but would utilize.
