This guy said he ran the delete for a while and the drone wasn't bad. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w8v5Sw_lTX8&list=UU6r8fJRSQ7lgDX0g9O0bEvA

That's one of the reasons I went with exhaust. Funny thing is every person that used to have a muffler delete goes to a muffler of some kind.
13' SHO, Non-PP, Tuned by Torrie, Meth injection, 3 bar, 170* stat, custom axle back exhaust, Prosport Boost gauge.
15' F150 Lariat Sport, all the options, 3.5L Eco. (fiancée ride.)
13' GTCS, will be missed.

You've got it backwards ZSHO, the cat is the one with the honey comb inside, that's the platinum.  The one that's straight through is the stock resonator.

Thank you for the correction, its been a stressful year and also people mention 3rd muffler which is the resonator. LOL.

There's just simply no way that a muffler delete doesn't drone. No way.

In fact, the SHO just isn't a car I can see bumbling around everywhere. It needs to maintain a subtle exhaust note. Something like a stock Nissan VQ would be ideal for me. Very subdued, but excellent sound under load/throttle.

Well, the 3.5l H series or whatever they are called. May be off on my nomenclature. Lol!
But, the 6 cylinder found in both Nissan and Infiniti vehicles - in the Z and the G series, FX, whatever, etc..

Sweet sounding exhaust note, even with original equipment.

Gotcha, Nissan and BMW make some sweet sounding 6's.

Yeah, for sure. From the factory, I like that the SHO is quiet, but I can't understand why it is silent. It's damn near a travesty.

I seriously considered gesweks Darthtipped Corsas on OEM pipes but I spent too much time thinking, not enough buying.

Oh well....

Is that pretty subtle?

I keep thinking, I'd really like just a set of mufflers on the factory piping. In my opinion, alot of drone originates from increasing piping diameter.

All you need it a resonant tube. Works wonders. I'm not limited to any muffler design. I love the amazing downshift sound I get now.

My thoughts exactly on drone and pipe diameter.
