so they matched up a ZL1 to the hellcat...
http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/coupes/1408_2014_chevrolet_camaro_zl1_vs_2015_dodge_challenger_srt_hellcat/

so why not the GT500???? I am sure the Shelby will be more of a challenge to this thing than the ZL1. What I would really like to see is a 1 mile drag between the Hellcat and the GT500... now that will measure the potential of both cars.... and do it from a 60mph roll too. :thumb:

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

Throw some amateur driving skills behind that hellcat and it sounds like a recipe for disaster.

in what exactly,..? :confused:
In laterial G's.... and that's about it. Even had a faster lap time at Laguna Sec when they did the comparison. I've notice an odd trend with MotorTrend when they do comparisons.
Head-To-Head competition with Gt500 vs ZL1.
0-60: winner = gt500;
1/4mile: winner = gt500;
60-0 brake test: winner =gt500(suprisinley);
fastest lap time: = gt500;
WINNER = ZL1....  :thumbsdown:

even with the GTR track edition Vs. Audi R8 plus package.
The GTR won ever catagory..
Winner was Audi R8... not that I am baised towards the GTR.
I just don't see how they measure their reviews.  :no:

I agree. Motor Trend has some really questionable article's. I remember watching a video of the process they use to vote on a winner. They stand in a circle and talk about what they like the most. Since humans are just simple mammals the deciding factor actually falls on what the dominant male says he likes. Call me crazy but it's the truth.

2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat: 707 Horsepower...: http://youtu.be/_BZOcxQQC2M

So Motor Trend just tested the Challenger Hellcat, ... They only seemed to get a 11.7  1/4 mile time. They even did a standing mile test which came in right at 30 secs. Correct me if I am wrong but isn't the GT500 standing mile 28 or 29 secs??? I can't seem to find the the gt500 stock 1 mile times.

I know dodge is have some emissions issues with the hellcat and they are trying to use either map of maf sensors to help. But I'm sure it's getting neutered from the factory.

according to challenger forum, emissions trouble was when dodge tried to get 825hp out of her. at 707hp passing emissions & being licensed in multiple states as dodge starts making deliveries, several already delivered.

wow.. with numbers like that, I wouldn't be gloating that the hellcat is the fastest muscle car ever if I were Dodge.

Agreed. Seems like there will be some butt hurt owners when they race a GT500.
