A good friend of mine picked up a highly optioned McLaren MP4 12C a few days ago and as always when he gets a new car asks if I want to come drive it and get some photos and videos. Of course, I never say no. I don't have time to create a video right now, but here are some photos.

The entire chassis is carbon fiber and aluminum. The car has a ton of other carbon fiber as well.. It weighs just over 2,800 lbs. and makes around 600 HP, so needless to say, it's quick! They are said to go low-mid 10's at mid-high 130's in the 1/4 mile in stock form. It stops on a dime as well with the huge carbon ceramic brakes and the wing assisted air brake which feels like a parachute coming out at speed.. It handles better than anything I've ever driven (including Ferrari's, GTR, Corvettes, etc.)

0-60 is about 3 seconds and the top speed is 207 mph.

EDIT - VIDEO - Unfortunately, my current laptop doesn't have any good editing software so the video isn't the greatest...

Amazing car no doubt. Should tell him to get a P1 next. Or the 918 Spyder. The 918 has some of the most amazing next gen tech helping it redefine the future of supercars.

Sent using smoke signals.

13' SHO, Non-PP, Tuned by Torrie, Meth injection, 3 bar, 170* stat, custom axle back exhaust, Prosport Boost gauge.
15' F150 Lariat Sport, all the options, 3.5L Eco. (fiancée ride.)
13' GTCS, will be missed.

Seems like a very driver oriented car, the way the instrumentation/gauges are laid out.  Very, very nice!

Thanks for letting us look in, probably would have drool-drowned it in person :D
2007 Ford Edge SEL, Powerstop F/R Brake Kit, TXT LED 6000K Lo & Hi Beams, W16W LED Reverse Bulbs, 3BSpec 2.5w Map Lights, 5W Cree rear dome lights, 5W Cree cargo light, DTBL LED Taillights

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

What do you usually use to edit?

I got used to and enjoyed using a MAC but no longer have access to it.

I lol'd a bit at the window sticker... Base price $240,000. With options $309,000.... The options were almost as much as 2 of my cars.

I was admiring a very similar looking 12C at 3 Forks Dallas a couple weeks ago. Needless to say,  it's a car that makes you pick your jaw up off the floor after you walk away from it. Sweet, sweet supercar.
