Test drove a 2013 Silver non-PP with 20" wheels today.  It had the adaptive cc/col warning.  Drove it through some twisties and felt way better than my '12 Sonata 2.0T.  Car had 25K miles on it, dealer is asking $31,900.  Only used '13 SHO within 50 miles from my house.

The test drive confirmed a SHO is the right car for me.  Have no desire to test drive a G37x, TL SH-AWD, Charger R/T AWD, or a 335xi.  The '13 SHO in Dallas with 5k miles is being held for me.  Going to fly out Wednesday evening and do the paperwork and drive 700 miles straight home Thursday night.  I'm a little nervous, hope no disappointments with the car when I set eyes on her.  This Sewell Caddy dealer has awesome ratings on Google, a number of others flying in, so I have high hopes.   Going to be a fun 700 mile road trip to get familiar with my new toy! :D

I need to research on how to hardwire my V1.  Hope to do that before I leave the dealer lot.

Also, how do you lock the door without the remote?  On my Sonata I just push the button on the door handle.  I tried pushing that button looking thing but could only get it to lock with the hidden buttons on the B pillar.

I would suggest trying to find a PP to test drive in the mean time even if u have to test drive a new 14. The PP will handle and ride differently.

Also crack out my thread on the AWD gauge and hour/idle tracking. Might get  them to do that as condition of the sale :)

There is one used '13 PP in Denver at some place that requires appointments.  Just don't have the time.  I plan on dropping the car with springs later, so not too worried.   If it handles better but harsher, that's fine.  I drive through the mountains daily, so handling curves with confidence is important.

I'll ask my local Ford dealer that will be servicing it if they can enable the AWD status.  Looks cool, should be an option from the factory to view.

My SHO has whipped all of those cars at the strip.

None of them can match the performance/luxury/tech combo of the SHO.

did you ask about an extended warranty since its not cpo?

No, not concerned since it has factory B2B until 10/2016 or 31k miles and powertrain until 10/2018 or 55k miles.

I do about 12k miles a year, so the remaining powertrain warranty will last me until the car is almost paid off

Not sure how long until I put a tune on it...lol

You use the keypad to lock the door without the remote. Touch the 7-8 and 9-0 and it should lock. If you put in the code it will unlock the drivers door. Adding "3" to the code opens all doors. :D

People mock the Ford keypad but it saves a heap of time if you forget your keys!

Good luck with the purchase! I hope it goes well!

Hitting 5 after using the keypad to unlock pops the trunk.

Lol well I'm guessing by the time you drive it from sea level to you high town. You will be on the phone the next day ordering a tune.

lol, true.

I'll take a video of a 0-60 run in Texas and one at 8,500' when I get home.  Will be fun to see the difference.

Not to pour cold water, but be sure the car is in tiptop shape before you buy it, and definitely before you tune it.  Looking at the spark plugs for instance is a good place to start, then check for oil leak along the back valve cover gasket into the plug wells, and any oil in the turbos/piping/intake tract.

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

That particular dealership is world famous for customer service. When I was in sales training 10+ years ago (in MN) I heard about it.

I doubt you will have any problems....

I have had some dealings with other Sewell dealerships, though not this particular one. Also know quite a few people, including two of my colleagues who always buy cars from them (again, not necessarily this particular caddy dealership). Sewell is top notch, all the way around. You should have a most pleasant experience. And I'm a little jealous. That's an excellent price for a seemingly new car. Congrats!
