Turbo noise after shutting car off

I've noticed this a couple of times and i'm not sure if it's normal or if I need to have the dealer look at it.

Immediately after I shut the car off i can hear it when the turbo's are spinning down - almost a squeak/squeal (I assume from the impeller shaft still spinning).  Mostly notice when windows are down after pulling into the garage.  It's not very loud - sometimes the fan will run for a few seconds which drowns out the turbo noise.  Have any of you experienced this - is it a sign of an issue with the turbos?  I'm at 2,8xx miles on a 2014 SHO.

Try to get some audio/video if possible, it will help immensely with trouble shooting.

Best of my knowledge those are your fans at the final stages of stopping, due to the long winter and snow and rain, moisture builds up alittle lubricant wont hurt, try strting the car when car is cold, wait a few min and see if you hear the noise, cause then the fans shouldn't be on.

After some more analysis it appears to be the fans making the noise.  I had assumed turbos for some reason.  Thanks for the input!

My fans make that same noise. I know what you are talking about. I took it to the dealer for a few other things and asked if they could check the amp pull on the motors incase one was going out. They said it was OK and the noise was normal. Which is what I expected to hear. Cheap China motors I assume.

glad you seemed to have figured it out.

now, i am hearing a noise when i unlock my doors after the car has been sitting for a while ???

it sounds like an air pressure release, coming from the right rear area.

i have no idea what it could be...

Hmm.  Brakes or fuel tank come to mind, but not sure why either would happen on a simple door unlock.

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

is it good or bad or indifferent that i'm actually hearing it?

does that indicate a problem?

It is normal. No cause for alarm. It is the fuel system priming the high pressure system.

^^ Thank you - I hear it as well - always wondered but never investigated - thought maybe it was the load leveling suspension .....assuming the car has that too..... Thanks for clarifying!
