Had the broken o-ring on mine. No biggy, put a new o-ring in but still leaks pretty bad.
Anyone else have this problem? Anyone that has no leakage?

I ordered another RX catch can kit for a friends F150 that will be coming in soon. We won't be installing untill next week. Going to try the new one from his and see what happens.

Did you put the new o ring inside or outside of the CSS?
Originally it was on the inside, but after installing mine on the outside between the bottom of the can and the plastic base, it hasn't leaked a drop.

Installed it like how it was originally... on the inside.
So, need to pry the top and bottom apart to install it your way?

Thanks!

I just pushed the rubber plug out of the bottom. Don't try to pull it apart our you'll be spending some time with jb weld ;)
After I got it apart I put the outing back over the rubber plug... Then inserted the plug in the bottom of the can. *giggity

After taking all apart, the grommet was not glued in place completely. It looks like the grommet is glued to the original bottom part of the cap...

I noticed the grommet that holds the upper part on is ripped. wondered why the top was so loose, and its leaking.

Just so everyone knows...
Talked to RX yesterday about a back ordered cap for the second kit I ordered (for a friend) and mentioned the problem. They said without even a second after I explained the situation, that they would take care of any problems I may have.

I'm going to try and reglue it first myself using an epoxy style "Plastic Welder" glue. this stuff works wonders with plastics and rubbers. (no pun intended!) It seems to bite through the oils plastics have...

Good service from RX!

The newest ones now have an additional seal so they can be rotated separate from the top and retain seal.

Always improving.

Thanks for the tips all!

Can we get a pic of what your gluing? Mines just a rubber grommet that's ripped, wondering if that's a leak and the cause of why I'm not catching anything..
