With all the talk of the ecobeast badges going away I decided to get some off eBay. Turned out pretty good. These are designed to lay on top  the original ecoboost badge.
Once I wash the SHO down I'll put them on.

What happened to the billet and painted versions? I will spend $50 on a good billet one but I don't want to waste my cash on something that is not quality and won't last. I know someone on here was making them.

Bought a ten foot piece of 1" heater hose from Lowes a couple weeks ago, it fits inside of the OE hose coming from the BOV. The idea was to route the VTA to an area where is was not muffled by the hood and engine cover. Yes yes, ricey ricey LOL Its the only way I can get someone to go at a light, otherwise they think I'm an f'in geriatric riding my brakes in a Lincoln, not brake boosting LOL. Anyways I finally routed the front BOV down to the ground in front of the drivers front wheel. It was about 2.5 feet of hose and it seems louder compared to no hose with the windows down. Not sure if I want to screw with the rear one yet other than pulling and capping it like I have, lots of moving parts where I would need to run that hose and I don't want to make it too difficult on myself if I need to return to stock for a dealer visit.

Any ideas on a homebrew horn or some device to "enhance" the sound? I was looking to fab something out of PVC for the end of the hose extensions. Maybe a 4" piece of PVC pipe with a bunch of holes drilled in it and capped. Enough holes that it has the same area to escape as the open hose but would cause the air to have to move over the opening and increase the sound. Oh yeah, that and more boost! ;)

I would like to see/hear the sound of this as a comparison to the under the hood BoV

Maybe I can download the sound meter app for Android and test. Set it to the drivers side at chest level like  a car at the light next to me. Then rev the engine and let the BOV's release and test with and without the hose. The BOV's are much quieter when you rev and release in park, but comparing apples to apples it will let me know the difference. With the windows down in sport mode and popping the throttle it sure seems like it is louder. I can only imagine if you had an open window next to it!

Again, any ideas on something to place on the end of the hose extensions to enhance or increase the sound would be great.

I installed the 160 degree thermostat that I ordered from Jamie last week.  I was easily able to purge the air from the system and install as much coolant as I lost during the process.

I had just washed the car and, of course, it is raining in Minneapolis so I haven't had the car out on the road yet.  Having let it run for quite some time in the garage, the warmest it got was 180.  Revving the engine brings the temps down into the mid 170s.  The heater works fine.  I look forward to seeing how it does on a WOT pull but it seems that the new t-stat is indeed keeping things cooler.
