Picked up my PPE catted downpipes on Tuesday. Probably be another week or 2 before I get them put on. Still trying to experiment with a couple tuning things before I go to update strategy code and put these on.

Also been looking at buying a thermostat from EPP and running distilled water with some water wetter. Think I can drop the overall temps a good amount and hopefully run a little better in these hot temps.

If you do go with distilled water and WW, it will be an interesting "experiment".  Full steam ahead!

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

I ran distilled and water wetter on my escort GT... it worked better than coolant...

ITS BACK: 2011 SHO is on the road,
ATP Turbos, Trans cooler & Oil Cooler Upgrade, PTU Oil Drain Added

38,500 Miles on the Clock @ the Dealer, 15 Miles on the New Motor,
Stock tune and 2 Bar till i get 1000 miles on the Thing, AND under 3 k till i get there

Yea Right i am Gun Shy from the Last Time, Lift went in DEC,
Started on it on Feb, and 3 months Later, IT IS ALIVE
need a A/C compressor and a CHARGE to finish her off.

Awesome!  .. congratz!  but a under three-k rpm limit  in mixed driving  .. oh man i'd be dying inside.   *but* were no-where as bad as the break-in procedure for Godzilla's..

Follow these recommendations to obtain maximum engine performance and ensure the future reliability and economy
of your new vehicle. Failure to follow these recommendations may result in shortened engine life and
reduced vehicle performance. Please observe the following types of driving until the mileage shown below has been
reached.

Until 300 miles (500 km):
. Do not depress the accelerator pedal more than halfway and avoid rapid acceleration.
. Drive with the engine speed kept at less than 3,500 RPM.
. Avoid unnecessary quick steering, abrupt braking and driving on poor roads.

300 to 600 miles (500 to 1,000 km):
. Avoid rapid acceleration in a low gear (1st to 3rd gears) with the accelerator pedal fully depressed. Depress the pedal slowly.
. Avoid unnecessary quick steering and abrupt braking.
. Drive with the suspension setup switch in the COMF mode to allow more suspension stroke.

600 to 1,200 miles (1,000 to 2,000 km):
. Drive with the engine speed kept relatively high (thats 3000rpm+ folks) with the shift lever in the M position. Shifting is recommended between 1st and 4th gears.
. Avoid unnecessary quick steering and abrupt braking.
. Drive with the suspension setup switch in the COMF mode to allow more suspension stroke.

OK: So i am trying to keep it under 3500, the Petal is so light,  AND
100 MPH is @ 2500 R, this thing will be become a BEAST when tuned"

I believe it will work better here (AZ) because we don't hit those freezing temperatures. Once I get to that point, should be able to check datalogs and see how much an improvement it is.

Went back to the track today.  My best run was my first, 12.554@109.  It was hot & humid, the DA must've been godawful.  Made 10 runs.  On my last run, I beat a new Challenger R/T.

I made 10 passes, on I think 8 different tunes, from all of my tuners.  The 12.554 was an Unleashed 91 meth tune, using 92 octane gas.  I later put in 100 octane, and then later added some E85 to make an E30 blend.

Finally got around to doing low temp thermo and 3 bar map sensor... Feels much faster. Is it just in my head? all in all, 10/10, would recommend :)

(recently) threw out the 24s, put back on stock rims, and got some megan racing coil overs... slammed it. They are fine, but very boaty and soft, but i have it dialed to 6 out of 12. (12 was waaaaay too soft). Havent tried harder, but i have never had a set of adjustable suspension that was this soft.

As far as throwing a code... it just complains that adaptive drive is broken when you turn it on. Just clear it once per drive and it goes away. I will look at the strut, see if i can devise a bypass. I am guessing a resistor would fool it.

Colorado-SHOBro

Felt like a contractor today. loaded up the already beastly SHO with another  1200lbs of flooring. dropped that off at the house then went to HD for 20 12' sections of baseboard. amazing what you can fit in these pigs. my GF said i was crazy when i told her we weren't going to get a truck for any of it. i showed her!
