I just joined from Michigan after getting myself and Ecoboost at long last. When I was still in grade school my dad bought the very first 89 SHO our local dealer sold. Around 98 he bought a 95 and I took over the 89 and all of its 215,000 miles. Next I got a 97 SHO. I got tired of the auto and traded back to a 94 SHO. When I was finally able to afford it, I bought my first (and only) new car, an 04 WRX. That thing was a riot! So much fun I spun 2 rod bearings at 135k. I sold it as is and got into some less exciting but nicer cars; an 05 Lincoln LS and then when that was approaching 100k I traded it on an 09 MKS (FWD 3.7.) Last week I was able to trade in my MKS and get a 2012 MKS Ecoboost. Talk about instant gratification! She is silver/black with 27,000 miles.
All I've done so far is walk around it and see that it needs a better detailing. Cleaned up a few stone chips and put my Husky liners in the front, back and trunk. The car is not quite fully loaded, but close. It has everything except adaptive cruise and park assist. I love the sport appearance package! I'm planning to get it tinted next weekend.
So that's my story. Oh, I'm in southeast Michigan. And in the picture that is my Father-in-law's '13 SHO next to my MKS.
