We have some great news for those of you with our Mycal tuning device for the 2013+ Explorer Sport and 2013+ SHO models. We have just released a new tune revision that has some very noticeable improvements in engine performance, transmission performance, and overall drivability characteristics. These new tune files have gained upwards of 10hp over our previous tunes here on our dyno. We have also eliminated the need for a special cold weather (CW) tune, and improved upon the "no shift" condition present on these cars on the 1-2 shift. This 1-2 shift issue has even been present on completely stock vehicles that we have encountered, so this is a big improvement in that area.

For updated tune file requests or to place your new orders please email or PM your requests including Full name, current modifications, and serial number of your tuner info@livernoismotorsports.com or click here to visit our website www.livernoismotorsports.com

Stay tuned for more info tomorrow.

v8 is indeed the revision mentioned for the SHO :)

Brandon I have a '10 non PP with a drop in K&N running your 4+ 93 tune on a MYCAL touch. I'm ready to swap the Tstat for a 170 degree this spring ( I have it already) and I'd like to swap the 2bar for one of your 3bar sensors. I'm wondering if the tune revision could perhaps add a bit to the boost as I usually peak around 12 to 12.5 lbs.  Adding a bit of boost would convince me to make the mods at this time.

We definitely can get you situated to meet your power goals, but, these cars aren't all about boost remember. There are many times that more boost makes less power, so we take great care in optimizing these cars rather than just adding boost, but there are other benefits the 3-bar sensor and associated tune provides as well.

Brandon if I'm making all the boost that I can and should, then fine.  It's just that others (without meth) are routinely claiming more boost than Iv'e been able to generate. Even the previous LMS rep forecast that I'd make more boost than I have.  So it leaves me wondering.  Car runs great, but you know how it is.....we all want to make sure we got our full share of the goodies.  I will PM you in the morning with an order for the 3bar sensor and hopefully you will be able to get me some spirited updated 91 and 93 octane tunes to go with it.

Definitely looking forward to the fix for the hesitation on the 1-2 shift. That might be worth .1 by itself.

I honestly don't know the specifics, but I know it's been something we have been trying to address ever since the 13's came out. I remember the day we got our taurus that it had this no shift problem every once in awhile. As did our Explorer. Both when they were completely stock and not even begun to be modified.

This is the problem with most aftermarket companies, their inhouse R&D stops, and then they are just reactive to customer's input and demands. Yet another reason why we actually purchase these cars so we can continue pushing the envelope.

Running the v8 now.
Opted to run it for now, instead of the v7 3 bar.

Feels pretty dang good so far. Haven't really rung it out yet though.
