I am not a track guy.  Don't care about getting the best ET's.  just want to squeeze a little more performance and MPG out of my 2013 SHO and maybe the wifes 2014 X-Sport.

Unleashed and Livernois appear to have about the same "claims" and dyno charts.  But Unleashed is $200 cheaper.

Anyone have any hard facts on why spending $200 more with Livernois is better than the Unleashed solution?

thanks

Unleashed Tuning = best bang for the buck ... plus truely personalized tunes instead of canned ones .

go blues...    Your purpose is similar to mine, just to have a quick fun DD (350-400WHP).... I made my initial decision based on a whole lot of phone calls to tuners, shop people, etc at both companies... I may actually compare them on my car in back to back dynos...
As long as your not pushing the envelope you should be fine.  But I encourage talking directly to, texting, and maybe some emailing to the principles... then decide based on your own impressions.... you'll still be faster!

LMS tunes are not canned. They use a different method in developing their tunes. So if you want to data log go with unleashed. LMS dyno tunes from there own shop cars.

I've never had LMS but I do have unleashed and absolutely love it! People keep mentioning data logging like it's something difficult. It's a matter of setting up the program and if I could do it anyone can do it as I'm not to computer savvy. Even without the data logging the tune was great! The revised tune after a couple of logs made the car feel even better. I know LMS is good so I'm sure either route will be good!

Also, on another note, We do things differently. Many tuners require the customer to be the guinea pig and send logs and files back and forth. We, on the other hand, purchase these cars so we can do development in house at any given time, and send out those tunes. The reason we don't support data logging is the is no method today that provides you with the proper information needed to tune these cars the correct way. Occasionally you might luck out and make some changes that work based on the incorrect data being logged, but it's just that. Luck. This is why we own basically every record for EcoBoost vehicles. We bothered to make the investment to have our cars be the development mules, not our customer's cars to ensure that what we are developing is done properly. This is the only way to properly develop tunes as it ensures you are recreating the exact situation that needs addressing.

It also makes it so a customer does not need to risk his car, license, or life getting data logs. We worry about that with our car. This also gives the peace of mind that, in the rare case there is something wrong, that it's our car taking the beating figuring it out, and not your own.

I don't believe in trusting any tune from any tuner they aren't tuning your car, you must must must trust but verify.
Saying one tune fits all is incorrect imho. We'll be testing head to head soon.  91 octane tunes for people back east doesn't work here in AZ those tunes will ping badly. You must data log knock to verify safety.
I'm not saying don't buy livernois tune I'm saying if you do make sure you log it and verify that it is safe for your vehicle

I have held my tongue long enough. BIASED! Really sure sounds that way to me. And sounds like your only vender to agree to stay on to boot. Now I have nothing against Torrie but I know plenty that do... But I bite my tongue if there people that are happy with him great, I am not about to trash him. But what I see here at every opportunity people like to down LMS that are Team Torrie. And trust me I am not the only one here that knows all about Torrie, so we can even the playing field if where going to resort to mud slinging. Enough is enough.

Guys
Let's all just remember this site should be fun, informative and a safe place to speak your mind.
Everyone will have their preferences and reasons. And no one is perfect... If you don't have some complaints about a few poor business issues, it means your not doing enough business...you can't make everyone happy. I'm no tech expert... But I'm a consumer expert...lol
Everyone and thing has it's pros and cons.. That's why we get to choose..
Before we post sometimes we should take a deep breathe and ask, "do I want to sound this way"

Ok carry on..
I'm happy with LMS and this site and the members here.
And I'm sure torrie is great too..

I agree, when someone praises LMS there is someone bashing them right away and pimping Unleashed out. I have dealt with Livernois on and off for many years and have never had an issue with them. It started with my Mustang and now the SHO. They stand behind their work and products.

I know Unleashed does good work as well but LMS should not be bashed every time some asked about them or praises them just to try and pimp out Unleashed.

I agree whole heartily with bigmoneycloser. When I am asked I offer both venders. And let them choose who to go with. But I am not going to sit back any longer when comes to this discussion. I believe I have been fair on this debate. I am sick and tired in every opportunity that some people here feel need to smear LMS.

I knew that the biased sentence would be taken incorrectly and that's why I removed. it. I am biased towards data logging any tune, let me be clear on that. Torrie, LMS etc. Not having an option or accepting datalogs from a tune that was for a vehicle using some gas other than the local area doesn't work here in HotZona. Our gas is horrible and our temps are off the charts.
I'm not bashing Livernois, I am bashing the thought that a "one tune fits all" scenario based off datalogging from a vehicle on a dyno doesn't work here in AZ.
We'll find out soon enough if I'm right or wrong.

One more thing, concerning the whole "vendor" thing, all of the money I'm making from my parts business is going right back into R&D for more custom parts for you guys. I'm not pulling money out of that business. It's all so I can make all these parts you guys are asking for, hopefully one day I'll be able to make some $$ and pull it out but right now it's feeding itself for cooler parts. Last round has been for hot pipes for the truck as well as downpipes. I'm also working on a fuel solution for the truck. It's all about making super cool parts for the cars. If I were able to start ever making some profits the only thing that would change for me is my wife would work from home for the parts company. I've been working my tail off to try and find a way for her to stay at home since she was diagnosed with Leukemia but I can't afford to pay for the families health care and lose her income both.

Just making sure you guys understand where I'm at with this whole thing.
