Gapped my Plugs... WOW!!!

I ordered my new plugs but they wont be here for a few days so I decided to check out the stock plugs. They were pretty far off from .030... About .043 or so. The car seems to run bit smoother but most people wont notice it. Maybe when I get the new plugs it will be a little better. The stock plugs have 30,000 miles on them.

I think so. They were all pretty even. They didnt look bad at all though. I am still changing them though.

Good idea. My 528's were all at about 35. But I figured if I was going to 30, I would pop for the 534's.

About the exact gap mine were. Any broken? Tap the bottom on the ground see it the insulater slides down like mine was

None were broken. All they had was a little soot build up from all the miles. I just cleaned them and gapped them and threw them back in.

Yeah, I would recommend everyone to get their OEM plugs out of there and add the recent updated Motorcraft plugs gapped properly.

Motorcraft SP534 ... or equivalent... Iridium electrodes are available in the AM for equivalent plugs

There several guys that use NGK's, but keep in mind the motorcraft plugs are NGK's also.
