FirstSHO  11.95 1/4   ...  Corsa Exhaust and a few other members getting ready to break through have Corsa as well

exactly why I can't wait to bolt mine up with the duel dumps, should be pretty good stuff.

Not a fan...

I have already spent $1400 on my exhaust setup for what i feel are the critical parts of the system.

I can get the same results from the cutout back for far less cash.

...And remove the maximum amount of resistance to flow too!  Then I'll use some 4" diam dbl wall tips to do the aesthetics.

Corsa is a great exhaust.  Since I have a cutout in my futrue there is no performance need for both and I'm happy with the exhaust note now.

Each to his own in any mod situation.

Id go with the muffled x man... esp if you have or are planning o/r dp's. My setup was SW o/r dp's with muffled x and dynomax axleback. Sounded fantastic just quiet. You could tell it had exhaust but not really head turning volume wise.
So Thurs I had that bare x pipe put in its place.
Idle sounds great, def more turbo whistle in exhaust and wot is throatier.
Bad news is it picked up a bunch of rasp in the 2500-2750 range. Before there was none, now theres enough to make me feel like the car sounds bad and I will prob swap back to the muffled x and go to a louder muffler.
Im def not happy with the overall sound now. I avoid making car rev to 2500 unless I need it to.

I plan on running two of these

as far as ive seen I havent seen anyone running magnaflow cans with stock pipes. This should be done within a month and I can get some sound clips up in a new thread.

I think that rasp might in part be due to the dynomax mufflers. I've listened to sound Clip after sound clip of the magnaflows and haven't heard rasp at all. Most of them have been Audi's though... With all the coupons I found for advanced auto, I'll pay around 300 for that setup, less flanges, piping, and install. If need be another 80 will get me the muffled x.

Well, car had absolutely none before. And dynomax ultra-flo is very very similar. Obviously just a stainless straight thru.

Hope you are right tho... I know bob had magnaflow weld-ins with a nesho pipe but not sure if he had catless downpipes too.

Coupons? Do tell!

What are you expecting, tone and volume wise, with the Mag setup?

I want something super subtle. I love how quiet the car is now (stock). But it's always nice to hear just a little roar from the rear under throttle. Drone and vibration...I'm done with that. Especially in a car like the SHO.

Google advance auto parts coupon codes. I priced out the x pipe, two uni mufflers, and two tips for 289 shipped plus tax. 12216(2), 10791, and 35206(2) are the parts im looking at now actually. Hoping it to sound a tad but louder than this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NeK75F6tELw

Don't mean to hijack this thread but has anyone removed cats and resonators but kept stock exhaust ? If so , any drone ? Didn't want to make another exhaust thread .

Super!
If it sounds like that, I'm game.
Thinking about putting a little something together, like you're doing. May follow suit, if your setup sounds good.

Might just have to order up a set of those Magnaflow 14851 mufflers. Seems like the best price for adding some sound in the short run to the SHO.

Heres a tip for you guys concerning the x-pipe and eliminating any possibility of rasp. I plan on doing a resonated x-pipe using the linked MagnaFlow muffler which is of a straight-through x-pipe design. That way you still get the benefits of an x-pipe (balancing resonance) and eliminate possibility of rasp when deleting the stock cat/resonator.

http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/displayapplications.asp?partnumber=11378

After the resonated MagnaFlow x-pipe I plan on swapping the OEM mufflers as they're the next biggest drawback of the system in my opinion. Someone somewhere had an image of the OEM EcoBoost mufflers cut open to show how poorly they flowed, the channels/muffler was designed more-so in an attempt to reduce sound versus performance.

I highly believe a resonated x-pipe and a pair of 2 decent mufflers to replace factory mufflers would yield a nice sounding exhaust.

Rojas give me a call at the shop or PM me. I would be glad to help you with selecting an exhaust.

That's what I had... muffled x with dynomax axleback. Sounded good with zero rasp, even after I put catless downpipes on it.
That def changed with the bare x... in my quest for more sound I should've went to louder muffs and kept the resonated x
