Where is a good place to have my windows tinted near Chicago?  What percentage is everyone running with?  I'm leaning towards 50%, maybe 35%. Has anyone put tint on the sun roof?  Thanks.

I highly recommend Fire Guys in Antioch.  It may be a trip but it is well worth the trouble.  I had 50% done on mine when I was back in IL by another guy.  I just wanted to take the glare off of the clear.  Joe-Fire Guy-Busyman is a member here.  He did my banner and does a lot of FD and PD cars and trucks.  Great guy too!

I'm not worried about tickets.  My mustang had 5% tint and with the windows up it was hard to see, especially at night. I just don't want that same issue. I'm looking for a balance between looking good parked, and being able to see when my wife is with me and the windows must be up.

I always did 20% and on current car did 27%,  which is legal limit in Colorado.   I like it,  not too dark but enough to keep sun at bay and looks good.  I wouldn't go any lighter.

I have 50 on the windshield and the rest is 25. I think its perfect. I have had lighter and darker combinations on other cars.

I know a lot of guys like the darker tint.  I don't like it at all.  Like I said, I just use 50% to take the edge off of the clear (slightly factory tinted) windows.  And, I like them all the same.  The lighter fronts and darker rears look mis-matched to me.
