My new 3bar MAP has

AA5A-9F479-AB on it.

but the box has

CX-2231-
AA5Z-9F479-B

:help2:
I need to confirm this is a 3bar MAP before I load my 3bar tune or I could be screwed with no other 2bar tune to reload !

This is what you should have ....

I have the same ....

pics stolen from BMC   ...  LOL

I dont currently have a tune but there is a difference in how the car performs in the summer. It feels a little slugish in winter as apposed to 20+C, then again i am running at temps as low as -45"C

IHeartGroceries

Not exactly conclusive, at only one hundredth of a second!

But any improvement is good. Congrats!

Yeah 1 persons account, 1 time out isn't conclusive. But I'll sure take 3 hundredths for no tuning change other than the ability to read a different sensor. Car ran consistent 8.18 and 8.19's over 6 passes, since I mainly bracket race I'll take the consistency.

Sweet thanks !

I was paranoid becasue I only saw 2 bars inside the sensor. Not sure if that has anything to do with it being a "3bar" MAP sensor. Must be something else to that.
2013 PP SHO LMS 93V10 tune, 170* T stat, 3bar, K&N drop in, plugs re-gapped, 4in exhaust tips.

That's what I thought when I saw mine.  The third one must be inside?

You are quite welcome 68_GT !

I try and help any way I can ....

I truly appreciate ALL of the help and info I've learned and received from the members here.

I actually got the pics from BigMoneyClosers install post but I checked the pic against my 3 Bar sensor and Box .

I got mine From Torrie at Unleashed and am just  playing with a 91 tune ( it's Killer ) until  I put my PPE Catless Down Pipes and 4DR's HotPipe kit with Tial BOV on in a few days .
Then I'm going to load a 93 tune ...

custom mods like Dave's can also be done.

Not unless you go there for a Dyno.
Or Torrie does a datalog tune...

I do not trust datalog tunes.  I prefer Dynojet tunes.

FoMoCoSHO

Well considering how much time is spent on the street, not on the dyno I will have to disagree.

All kinds of throttle inputs and loads besides WOT to tune for.

Watching the car trim and learn for E-85 really illustrates that point.

Why ?

I don't know how guys that have only used one tuner can make any comparisons between them.
