I am pretty sure my rear shocks are at the end of their lives. I noticed some fluid on my passenger side rear shock a while ago. I have about 64K on the car and was wondering how hard changing the rears is? Any tips of tricks? Should I use OEM or is there a aftermarket upgrade? I'm not really looking at doing coilovers.

They are pretty straight forward to replace. You have to flip down rear seats remove a few push pins to remove carpet to get rear towers to remove nut, and there is one bolt where it attaches to suspension. OEM as far as replacements is your only option.

That is slightly aggravating...

Maybe you could get with Megan while they're interested in developing for the platform and get rear suspension components developed.

Well of course there was coil overs as option, but the OP said he wasn't interested in those.

Does anyone have a part number? All of the sites I look at have the shocks but list "2WD". Is there a difference between the FWD and AWD cars, and a difference in the PP and non PP?

Rock Auto has 4 options.  And Monroe is one of them.  There's a PP, non PP, and non SHO option too.

Monroe Sensatrac are great options for Gen I and Gen II SHO's.  They would handle the Eibach lowering springs however would not hold up to a more aggressive spring like Intrak.  I equate Intrak springs to our H&R springs.

I replaced the rear today. Pretty straight forward. The old ones were shot for sure. The passenger side had a hole in the shock body and lost all of the fluid.

I ended up going with the PP spec front and rears despite having a non PP car, funny too I had a front d/s original strut blown right out when replaced.

Was it a noticeable difference? (going from non-pp to pp shocks).
