I burped the coolant system again when I got to the shop this morning.  I'll burp it again when I get home.  Hopefully that will do it.  The shop uses a vacuum rig but I'm hoping I won't need to do that.  My calculations tell me I have to burp up to 20 ounces worth.  UGH!

I never used a vacuum coolant filler when I did my Tstat or the turbos. Just drove it around a few times popped the cap off and the air burped out then topped off the reservoir.

I broke down and bought a jug of coolant on the way back from the shop today.  I don't know where it went but it was down a couple inches.  Must have been low before.  There isn't any on the garage floor.  So, I filled that baby up!  I did start to get my heat back after three burps.  Should be fine now.

Big babies, these engines!  Let the matter be put to rest, finally.  BTW, I heard tell of subzero temps next week in the MidWest.  Make sure the heat is working by then ...brrrr...

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!
