I just got 15.8 hand calculated on the last fill up, so that should make you feel better.

That's because you have the aerodynamics of an airplane hanger...

LOL!  I wonder if the SHO's MPGs would improve riding close behind the Flex, since "Moses has already parted the waters".

You guys!... hope no one is offended... 'cuz these guys gave me the laugh I needed today!

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

All in good fun gentleman.

Flex is on my short list of vehicles I'd like to have.

cruise control  and self control   ... trip from tulsa to abilene , tx  ,400 miles each way ....cruise set at 70 - 75 most of the time got 26 mpg  on 91 octane .

28 mpg on shorter trips cruise set at between 65 - 70   ...  just wanted to see if I could  do better .

around town 18   IF  I  keep my foot out of  it . That  doesn't usually happen though .

AirAid and Corsa help a little I'm sure ...

Again, I state you really can't go by the computer readout, it's not very accurate and even less accurate if you reset it at each fill-up. As suggested by BPD to get the most accurate reading don't reset it, leave it continue to calculate without resetting, it will get more accurate.
Now, I've kept records on fuel useage since I've had the car, and I average about 22mpg overall.  I have gotten a high of over 30 and a low of about 14.  If you want to keep a running record that will calculate and help you see your patterns, try Fuelly.com.  I use it and love the detail it can show.  But I've been keeping accurate fuel records for years. If you fill the same amount at each fill-up and calculate the old fashioned way, miles traveled divided by gallons used, it will give you the most accurate fuel use, if you fill to the same level on each fill-up, and over time you will get a true picture of your fuel useage.

This is the best advice in this thread so far.  Thanks mj

2013 Non-PP with Airraid CAI and LMS 93OCT I am averaging with the snow and cold weather 14.5MPG with properly inflated tires. In the warmer weather its 15-17MPG. I got up to 25MPG highway last spring.  I was at the car wash yesterday and a lady was so proud to everyone her Honda fit gets 28MPG and she downsized from a big minivan for better gas mileage. I told her I had a Ford Focus SES manual that was only getting 22MPG for a similarly tiny car I would not want to be in an accident with. So I upgraded for a couple hundred more horsepower, AWD, and its downright sexy looking beast thats fun to drive. I told her I gained 3 MPG on the highway and pointed to my car. Her look of defeat was pretty hilarious.

There is no way to tune your car without the 'tuner'

I imagine he realizes that and simply wants to know how much it would cost to have it dyno tuned at Livernois rather than getting a tune through email.
