Cool, thanks guys I appreciate it.

Just so you know, that is the equivalent in crank HP of going from 365 to 419.
With a LMS tune?

If you are near Dearborn Heights, you should just go there. They can dyno tune your car.

Shoot, even if you are not, you are super close and should go there anyways.

Scan gauge or Torque app can help you learn how to drive it for MPG.

I spent one week being good for testing and was able to eek high 23's out of her(50/50 cty/hwy)

Low 20's is attainable on a routine basis but those weeks aren't much fun.

Life is too damn short to worry about MPG!

For what it's worth I can get 23-24 surface streets only and almost 30 highway only (85mph or below)... If I'm good, but FoMoCo is correct, life is too short..  I don't think anyone chose their SHO for fuel economy :nono:

Fact is it's fun to drive...  I get my foot in it every chance I get and average 19.7-20 surface streets only!   So the real solution is never start it, keep keep it in neutral and just push.  Gas will last until it evaporates.

Seriously... enjoy the ride... you deserve it!  :burnout:

I don't think that's quite what they meant by "pushrod engine", but if it works, hey ...

I just got 15.8 hand calculated on the last fill up, so that should make you feel better.

That's because you have the aerodynamics of an airplane hanger...

dmharvey79

I picked up a little mileage when I switched to all-season tires. I'm averaging right around 19.6 with about 70% highway driving and a heavy foot.

Explorer is averaging 18.9, SHO 21.3.  WOT daily.

LOL!  I wonder if the SHO's MPGs would improve riding close behind the Flex, since "Moses has already parted the waters".
