VLEDS conversion and Lower Billet Grill with Hella DRL's

Thanks to TOM  aka BIG MAC  for the info on the Socket Adapters .... Vleds has shipped them to me ... should have them by Friday ... I also had them send me 12" extensions for the adapters to give me a little more flexibility with mounting the power blocks .


Side note : I'll be installing a Lower Billet Grill and Hella DRL's and modified lower  front parking LED's / turn signals.


Gonna be a busy weekend  ...... pics to follow

2007 Ford Edge SEL, Powerstop F/R Brake Kit, TXT LED 6000K Lo & Hi Beams, W16W LED Reverse Bulbs, 3BSpec 2.5w Map Lights, 5W Cree rear dome lights, 5W Cree cargo light, DTBL LED Taillights

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

You'll love 'em!  The extensions are a stellar idea. Pics should be good. Wanna see the HELAs and lower grill.

Install Begins in  a few minutes


I'll be installing the V3 tritons First  : 5K WHITE AMBER SWITCHBACK V3 TRITON LED SYSTEM  mfg link : http://www.vleds.com/v3-wa-5k.html

Then Ill be installing the Gen X lower Billet Grill  With the Hella LED DRL's mounted to it    ( NOT USING BRACKETS ).... 

Last are the lower parking lights modified to act as switchback turn signals  ....






Will post pics of final install as well as a night time video clip tomorrow .....

I Got  most of My Planned MODS installed over a Long Weekend.

VLEDS Triton V3 5OOOk Amber/White Switchback LED upgrade ..... Worth every Penny ..... WOW !!

Gen X Trims Gloss Black  Lower Billet Grill


Hella 90mm DRL on Lower Grill


Planned Lower Parking Light  MOD to convert to Amber Running Light / Turn Signal put on temporary hold  ... I was not happy with the results so I have order different  LEDS to MOD this with ....

Looks great!  I also wonder what the red circles are behind the grill in the third pic.

Did you use the 50% reduction lead for the vLEDs when HLs are on? ...I finally decided not to do that after a week or so without problems.   Either way you'l love 'em.  Glad vLED sent you the Ford adaptor!

 The round RED things behind the Grill are Hella Super Tone High/Low Horns

 

I did not hook up the Dimmer wire for the V3 Tritons ... The only reason that VLEDS does this is to comply with Canadian DOT Regulations .
