You mean these?

These are known as 3 piece wheel fasteners.  Some manufacturers use a faux part to simulate this on a one piece wheel, like my old Foose Nitrous wheels.  These are mostly known as "fasteners", in the industry.

They can be very difficult to clean!  I use thick microfiber towels, soft cleaning brushes, etc to get them.  Chemical Guys wheel cleaner (I like Diablo and Sticky Gel, in dilution ratio with water (about 1:8 or 1:10 average)), and my wheels almost always look clean.

Just don't let them go too long to avoid scrubbing which scratches.  I use Chemical Guys Honey Dew (rated 1400:1) at a dilution like Lanson suggests and a micro fiber mop if needed.  This bucket and tools are only used on my tires/wheels and nowhere else.

Don't let it scare you off a wheel you like... As for me I wash even smooth one piece wheels this way.

I totally agree, buy the wheel you like for more than how easy/hard it is to clean.  In the end, a hard to clean wheel just means you spend more time in front of them, and since you like them...that's not so bad.  :)   You can use wheel sealants like RejeX that would help make the wheel easier to clean, and keep it pretty and shiny.  Because these shapes are a little hard to wax/seal, spray products are a good call.

Really like these wheels, I had Breyton 5 stars initially, and swapped to Nurberings. I think our cars look better with more rim coverage since the vehicle is so large.

anybody had any experience with vertini wheels, the wheel fastners on these are black so less maintance, similar to the TSW Cartage
& what color lugs do you think work best chrome or black. also if you don't put tpms's in them is that a problem?

thanks ahead of time
