Even though my local track is covered under ice and snow, it is never to early to start thinking about running down those low ET's. So with never having been to the track in the SHO, what techniques are people using at the track for best launches/ET's:
-RPM
-Tire pressures
-Race gas
-Transmission mode (Normal or sport)
-Traction control mode (On, partially off or completely off)
Look forward to hearing your comments and thanks in advance.

Only have gone once so far and satisfied to run 12's.  No special fuel change, tires at 28psi, take off as much TC as possible, and launched at 2k.  The fews runs I got in I was happy with consistent 1.84's out of my non PP.

Is it best to turn off Advancetrac completely?

When I ran my (stock) 2013 SHO at the track I did zero race prep, even had 1/2 tank of fuel, and I was running all-season tires at their recommended pressure. I left the traction control on and I didn't use the sport mode. My basic approach was to get the RPMs to around 2200 and leave the line at around 3/4 throttle, hitting WOT around the 60' mark. That seemed to work pretty good and I managed to do a 13.499 on one of my two runs.

Now that I have a 93 LMS tune I think it will require a slightly different approach to keep the tires hooked up off the line but I don't plan to make any changes to the car or any settings.

I ran 400-500 runs with 2010 Non-PP and 2013 PP SHO.
I managed a best 60' of 1.80 with the 2010 and 1.71 with the 2013.
I launched at around 2000-2200
Tire pressure: Try to keep them as inflated as possible. If the track is well prepped, I keep them between 32-35, if not, I lowered them until 25-28
I run methanol injection
I haven't seen any difference between the Sport or normal. Both same 60' and same 1/4... I believe once it is tuned at least it maks no difference Under WOT. The main difference between two modes is when driving normally (or a bit aggressive), it hols the gears longer, so that if you punch the gas, it is already good for a jump without delays.
Finally, traction control off, if track is well prepped, always produced better launches, always!

I have been running Hankook Ventus V12 tires for the past 2 years and they are by far the best quality you can ghet for the price... I ran 12.08 and 12.09 seconds with 60' in the 1.7's and 1.8's with two different cars and they do hook up very well...
That is one of the first mods everyone looking to do better launches should have...
I mean even FirstSHO that ran a 11.95 at 115mph with bars in the front, slicks in the front, upgraded turbos etc. (75K$ in mods), launched the same 60' as mine. So tires are key factor!
