I was wondering what everybody thought. What Black with Machined Rim wheels would look better on my White Platinum SHO.  (The Londrina are actually Gunmetal.)  Please take into account that my wheel gap is about an inch lower than the SHO depicted in these pictures.  The pictures also show a staggered wheel width.  I'll probably use 8.5" for front and back.  Please comment if you like!  If anybody wants to try the simulator for their car, here is the link. ;D

Edit-One more thing, I'll still have the silver disc and calipers.

Personal opinion... for a DD stay with one pice wheels and consider white spokes instaed of black or gunmetal on your platinum whit ride.  Also  stay with the overlays on the center caps!

Just on looks alone I'd rate the Silverstone number one for floating my boat, with Valencia number two, followed by Tremblant at number three. Makes me wonder what the prices and weights are for those wheels.

They are all one piece.

I'm thinking about silver or white with black SHO for the wheel hub overlays.

They are all priced at $304 at Discount Tire Direct.

I'm with Bob on this one.  While a fan of TSW, I don't think any of the ones you picked out are really a great fit for a Taurus body.

Is there a certain reason TSW was picked as the brand for all your options?

Well, I think they are well made and reasonably priced.  I don't like all black wheels but I do like black with machined rims.  Especially on white.

So what about brands like Ace, XO, MRR (and their sub-brands), Zenetti, or something like that?

A lot of these brands have the black/machined look down, and sometimes they are multipiece wheels, for a nice look and (hopefully) lighter weight.  Like I said, I like TSW I just didn't know if you saw all your options yet.

Also, have you completely said no to staggered?  It does bring up more small issues, but the look is undeniably awesome.  "Pay to play", was always the rule I built cars by.  An example of a bold and aggressive look currently in the works is johng's sweet Flex http://www.fordflex.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=11395

Thanks Lanson.  I've seen a couple of ACE wheels. I'll check out the brands you mentioned.  I am not totally against staggered sizes.  I just thought about rotating.  I agree the look is much better.  Those wheels on that Flex are pretty cool.

Lanson

Have you decided on 19, 20, or 22" sizing?

I like the "Stowe". They look a lot like my track wheels from American Racing. But I like me DD wheels better than the all black wheels.

I think 20" is just the right size.  8.5 in front and either 8.5,9.5 or 10 in the rear.  40 offset.

Yeah, one option I considered was doing gloss black painted like your DD's.

DJE624

OK guys.  How about these?
