I wonder what a straight E85 tune would do with these cars ? anyone planning / working on that ? Tons of muscle cars are switching to E85 and having prettly big gains with it.

Straight  E85  has issues in it self from what I have read. They don't know why but do know that under 50% those issues went away

To give you an idea I went from 550 to 604 on my ctsv with a mild tune and e85 with injectors and bap
Expect 50+hp easily in e50

just imagine E85 is inexpensive race fuel widely available at common gas stations.

I have no clue where to fine 100octane, but it still has nothing on the octane rating of E85.

I don't have any gas stations in jersey with E-anything at the pump.
I can get it at some speed shops in small doses... But it would then be a track day only fuel..ugh

There are pros and cons to it. The same gains could me made on race gas. But race is about $12 bucks a gallon. Big con for race gas. But your $3 per gallon will cut your mileage at least 30%. So  I get about 18mpg driving pretty heavy footed. So with e85 I think you'd be lucky to see 10mpg. It would have to be a strip only tune for me.

It sounded like everyone was saying you needed somekind of E blend?

If I had upgrades turbos and fuel..
And could see positive gains from 93 pump gas and even more from an E85 for a track day..
That would be a winner...

You don't need a E blend. Just one of a few options. There is probably many folks that believe some how e fuels make more power. They do not, they do have a higher octane rating. Which allows for more timing which make power.

OK yes you can make more power in your tune if you run E85 to support the much increased timing. A pretty significant 50-60 hp. I saw it over and over agin on the SVTPerformance forums with the superharged Cobras.
