Hey gang,

I'm putting some snow tires on my newly acquired Flex EB wheels for winter driving the SHO.  Can anyone steer me toward the proper sensors I need to get for the TPMS system?

Have you checked on ebay?  I have gotten ones for my 2010 (it uses band type) and they worked great.  Yours are attached to the valve stem.  I believe you will also need a tool to re-set the sensors.  I also bought that on ebay.  Ford's systems lack the information and ease of re-setting like the GM TPMS.  One of the few things Ford skimped on.

TireRack also sells them but they will be more expensive.  You might also ask your installer if he can get them for a fair price.   I paid around $25. ea for the valve stem TPMS units for my G8.  The re-set tool on ebay for Ford was under $30. Only issue I have had with it was this fall when it had set in car and was like 30 deg out.  Battery was flaky but it is almost 4 years old.  Once warm it worked fine.

Check ebay  to get them  ( sample listing )   http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-BRAND-NEW-GENUINE-FORD-LINCOLN-MERCURY-OEM-TPMS-Sensors-09-14-DE8T-1A180-AA-/121193559561?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c37b2f609&vxp=mtr

The issue on having your own TPMS reset depends on if you switch your summer and winter tires in the future.  If you take them in to be switched, the tire store can help you.  I switch my own tires....

I need order some sensors after getting quoted $85/sensor from the dealership. Do you think these will work:

IDK but I googled Flex sensors and found a set of 4 new Ford ones for $60.  So that's the target.
I don't have an EB but I am an avid modder and happy to help the community and learn/grow.  Pretty good with audio and wheels, my build and discussion threads are here in the forum.  2013 Flex AWD N/A
